  • Better Than Expectations!!!!

"Brought my wife and three kids up for the week. House was in great condition. Lake is beautiful and my kids had a blast jumping off the two story dock. Property is within 5 minutes of restaurants, super market, etc. Rented a boat from the marina down the street for a day, drove 45 minutes north to Helen, Ga and spent many days just relaxing on the dock watching the kids swim. Owner was great and very helpful. Highly recommend."

  • Best Vacation EVER!!

"We had such a great time! The house, pool, and cove were perfect! We live close by, and were able to have friends up. The house is set up perfect for entertaining!! The salt-water pool was wonderful! The kids were able to keep themselves entertained, when we were not out on the lake. We also rented a boat. The cove is very quiet and private. It's located right across from Gainesville Marina (for gas), and you can use Lanier Bridge as a landmark. Restaurants and grocery store are less than 2 miles away, but you would never know it. All in all, a wonderful place and location!! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!!!"

  • Best vacation ever!

"Our extended family of 23 thoroughly enjoyed this house. All agreed this was our best vacation spot ever. We started planning this vacation a year ago. I searched VRBO for houses with a private pool that could comfortably fit all of us. This house stood out. LOCATION: The location of this house is unbeatable. Situated on the quieter part of the lake with an island right across from the house ensured that we had absolute privacy, while maintaining access to a huge stunning lake and all the water activity that comes with it. ACTIVITIES The kids (& some adults) were kept busy jumping off the dock and kayaking in the area around the house. (we rented three extra kayaks from The Outdoor World in Dawsonville). We rented a skiboat for a couple of days, once with a driver to help the kids learn to wakeboard. we took day trips to some of the state parks and waterfalls, tubing on the cartecay river, horseback riding, stone mountain, the Coke museum and white water rafting on the Ocoee in Tennessee. Most of the trips were about an hour away with the exception of the white water rafting that was two hours away but deemed totally worth it by those who participated. Some of the younger kids also went to the Gainesville aquatic center (20 min away) one day and enjoyed their outdoor (empty) slides. We had alternate activities planned in case of inclement weather but the weather was absolutely perfect for our entire stay! HOUSE The house itself was a dream come true. I was a bit nervous that it would be a bit tight for us or that some would complain that it was not "nice" enough. Those nervous feeling evaporated the moment each of our families walked through the door. We never felt crowded in the least bit and to the contrary everyone was blown away by how beautiful the house was. Inside and out we felt like we were in our own private resort. The pool, volleyball court, dock, lake, sitting areas,Pool table & kitchen were all well used by us. If we came to this house again we would plan less day trips because there was so much to do in the house. There were a few accomplished pianists in our group and they teamed up with the baby grand piano to entertain us throughout our stay. MAURICE If we had to give out an award on this stay, it would go to Maurice for being the MVP. One of the nicest people i have ever met, he made sure that everything was perfect. He took care of us like a doting uncle when appropriate, but never intruded at all."

Gainesville Travel Tips

Gainesville Vacation Rentals: Southern Comfort

Cradled in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains is Gainesville. This Georgia charmer is a small town with a big appeal. Its natural beauty commends it; and its southern atmosphere will delight. Enter a world of hot days and easy nights, all punctuated with smiles. It's a true family destination. But there's more than hospitality here. There is instead a collection of rugged adventures and wild experiences. Forests, lakes and stone all combine. The result is something magical. And, with Gainesville vacation rentals, you can have that magic for yourself.

Gainesville Cabin Rentals: Beauty Made Simple

You want a vacation but you also want one you can afford. With Lake Lanier lodging, that's no longer just a wish. All cabins are tailored for family needs (space, style and budgets). It's perfection. It's yours.

Lake Lanier Lodging: Discover Adventure

After relishing each morning in Gainesville cabin rentals, move then to the wonders beyond. Visit one of the 10 local marinas and find the appropriate boat, skis or other equipment to rent (as well as friendly staffers, all willing to provide lessons in safety and usage). Travel then to Bulford Dam Park and find swimming, hiking and picnicking areas. A small fee of one dollar will apply. Follow the Laurel Ridge Trail as it leads you through forestry. And then explore the Lake Lanier Resort and its 1,100 acres. There you'll be able to sample championship golf courses, horseback riding and even the Beach and Water Park. The kids will love it.

Gainesville Vacation Rentals: For All

It's time for more than trips that compromise, for days that never please. Instead let Lake Lanier lodging offer something the entire family can enjoy: pure entertainment.
