  • Perfection

"Perfect combination of view, seclusion, creature comforts, good design and hospitable host made this a perfect getaway. Came up to hike some AT sections and this was an ideal base. Everything you could possibly need in the cabin as well as enough firewood for our entire stay. They were flexible to allow the very last minute addition of my daughter, her fiance and their dog with just a quick phone call. We didn't come for Valentine's Day, but a box of chocolates and mugs of ready to make cocoa on arrival just shows how much these owners aim to please their guests. If our travels take us to this area again we can only hope it will be available. Games and cocoa in front of the fire then looking at that amazing view from sunset until total darkness from the warmth and coziness of the cabin made some wonderful memories."

  • Perfect Getaway!

"The cabin was adorable and had everything we could ask for, not to mention it was very clean! We loved the fact that it was very secluded, yet still close to town. Pam was easy to reach and very sweet. We brought our two dogs and spent most of our time at Unicoi State Park (only $5 to park.) The first day, we hiked Smith Creek Trail from the park up to Anna Ruby Falls - a 10 mile round trip, but it is doable if you give yourself enough time and pack some high energy snacks and plenty of water for yourself and furry friends. After 6 hours of hiking, the hot tub was the perfect place to relax! We picked up pizza from Village Tavern Pizza and it was very good (The Big Cheese was my personal favorite). The next day, we returned to Unicoi and chose the easy Lake Trail (about 3 miles) and then walked around some small shops downtown. That night we tried out the German restaurant behind Wendy's and it was great. I can't say enough about what a great time we had and how much we loved this cozy cabin. We can't wait to come back soon!!!"
