  • The perfect place!!!

"we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is so beautiful inside and out. The jacuzzi made for wonderful relaxing evenings. The location is perfect because it's right between Helen and Hiawassee, and there are so many things to do that are very close by. We will definitely stay here again!"

  • Great Property

"We have two families that raft all over the Southeast. I have probably rented 10-12 different cabins. This place is as close to perfect as it gets - beautiful. Convenient to Clayton and activities (maybe 30 minutes to NOC Chattooga outpost) but you feel alone by yourself in the woods. Wonderful mountain vibe. Owner did a first class job on renovation and decorating. Definitely a favorite. Mike"

  • Great property for a retreat

"This property was booked for the purpose of a small church men's group retreat for 4 days, 3 nights. Upon arrival, the property looked just like the pictures posted on this site. Everything in the house matched our needs specifically like it was built just for us. The lake is visible from the house deck and the lake is only a 2 minute walk (if that) from the back of the house. From the main road it only took about 10 to 15 minutes to reach the property, which is not bad for a lake property. The property is close to other houses which is a comfort if you don't like seclusion, but the houses are not too close to one another that you disturb people in the other property. The men enjoyed the leather sofa, which was extremely comfortable as were all the furniture pieces. The jacuzzi tub and shower were nice and having a laundry room was a nice plus. Having DirecTV on a Saturday afternoon and evening during college football season was great! Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and I am very please with the quality of the house and property and the responsiveness of the owner. I don't think any of us could have asked for me in our first men's retreat adventure. Now we have something to brag to the women's ministry about, lol. Thanks and I hope to do it again!"

  • Poplar Ridge Retreat

"If you have dogs and want to go on vacation with them, this is absolutely the perfect place. In addition, the house is very cozy and comfortable and there are many things to do in the area so that even if it is a bit rainy (as it was on our trip) you would have to work very hard to be bored. If you play golf, check out Butternut Creek Golf Course... very challenging, but lots of fun. Elizabeth does a great job of communicating!"
