  • "Awesome"

"The cabin was beyond our expectations! Spent the mornings visiting nearby attractions, retiring to the cabin after lunch. Children took naps while adults socialized and grilled on the deck. The screen porch provided mosquito protection later in the evening. The scenery from the cabin was much more beautiful than the pictures revealed. We had visits from an owl which the children loved. This was the best vacation rental we have ever stayed at! Highly recommend it."

  • A great place to vacation

"Our family had an incredible time at this gorgeous, perfectly furnished lake house! We were so impressed with how the owners had thought of everything. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Our 5 & 7 year old loved the twin beds and the game table downstairs. We will definitely stay here again! We caught fish, shared wonderful meals from the grill and the beds were super comfortable."

  • Awesome Family Vacation!!

"We stayed in house #1. It was perfect for our family of 7! Nicely decorated & clean. We especially loved sitting out on the large deck under the beautiful trees. The trees provide enough cool shade to sit out in the afternoon too. My daughters were fascinated at the hundreds of fireflies outside every night. Spectacular view of the lake from every room in the house & the cove is a excellent spot for tubing w/kids. The boat barn w/ lift fit our 24ft boat nicely & we had a blast swimming, fishing & jumping off the top deck! Hank was very nice & helpful w/anything we needed. Only 5 minutes to Publix & Johnny's pizza (very good!) We will definitely be back to spend a week here again!! Most beautiful lake I've ever seen! We explored the entire lake & we felt this house is in the best location too. This was our 1st time coming to Lake Lanier. We live in South Florida & usually vacation in the Keys, but this was well worth the 10 hour drive! I was skeptical at 1st if this place was as nice as the pictures looked online. I have very high standards for vacation rentals on comfort & cleanliness, and I must say this place was a pleasant surprise! Kitchen has all appliances, coffee pot, clothes dryer, (only con was washing machine doesn't work.) Overall, the views & beauty of this place are far better than the pictures can show! Also, very nice furniture, comfortable bedding, nice carpet & nice living room. Honestly, swimming in the lake & lounging outside was so nice that we spent very little time inside. Excellent vacation spot! Highly recommend!!!!"

  • Fabulous fall vacation

"This mountain home far exceeded our expectations! It is beautifully furnished, well stocked, and the cleanest property we have ever rented. The pictures on the website really don't do this home justice. We traveled there with friends and all agreed we want to make staying here an annual event. The property owner is very easy to work with and even called upon our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. They even provided firewood!!! I highly recommend!"

Northeast Mountains Travel Tips

More than Just Georgia on my Mind

Beginning just 50 miles from Atlanta, sight of the state’s main airport, are the mountains of Northeast Georgia. It is easily accessible from I-75 and I-85. Known by the original Cherokee inhabitants as the "Sah-ka-na-ga" or "Great Blue Hills of God," it is better known today as the Blue Ridge Mountains which are also part of the Appalachian Mountains. A significant area of the mountains, some 750,000 acres, comprises the Chattahoochee National Forest. Vacationers choosing Northeast Georgia cabin rentals come for the spectacular scenery and wonderful year-round climate.

Paradise for Outdoor Enthusiasts

Visitors to Northeast Georgia vacation rentals will find themselves in the heart of the great outdoors. The variety of activities is impressive, with endless trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding and much more. For water-lovers, go rafting at the Chattahoochee River National Park or enjoy the thrill of tubing at the Cool River Tubing Co. which also offers waterslides for the children. This area was the sight of the America’s first gold rush and visitors can still enter into the thrill of panning for gold and gemstones while learning more about the life in the 1800s. Children will enjoy the Kangaroo Conservation Center, the largest collection of these delightful animals outside of Australia. A not-to-be-missed day out is found at the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway where the vintage and open-air railcars wind along the Toccoa River up into the sister towns of McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN.

Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park commemorates battles from the Civil War and visitors will find the museum, seven-mile self-guided driving tour, monuments, hiking and horseback trails make up a wonderful day out. To round off your experience of the Civil War, visit Lookout Mountain Battlefield and the historic Cravens House.

Visiting the Parks--What Do You Need To Know?

Choosing a Northeast Georgia lodging near the magnificent parks and forests makes for a wonderful vacation. Visitors may wish to consider buying a Park and Historic Site Pass which not only provides great value for your money, it also helps preserve the parks and historic sites for future generations. Make sure you are aware of the safety tips provided at the parks. Dress appropriately. If you are planning a hike, make sure you wear the right shoes! In winter, ensure you have planned for the possibility of a shower. No one ever plans to get lost, so be aware of what to do if this happens. If you are planning to camp overnight, don’t bring firewood into the park, use local wood. If you plan to hunt or fish, please ensure you have a hunting and fishing license. Visitors can buy a license from the Wildlife Resources Division of DNR, at Electronic Georgia Licensing (EGAL) system or by calling 1-800-366-2661.
