  • Labor Day Getaway

"I just wanted to chime in and agree with all the positive reviews about this property. We stayed (along with 3 families) here for an extended Labor Day weekend and had a blast just hanging out and enjoying the river. Everything was as is described and the owner was super to deal with. Although the resort offers amenities, we only left for a couple hours to fish and another couple hours to hit the indoor pool. Other than that, we simply stayed riverside, cooked out and relaxed. I would say we totally relaxed but being honest, I'll say most of our arms were tired after our trip from throwing Lucy (neighbor's dog) sticks, tennis balls or whatever else you could find. She was a treasure for the kids and grown ups to enjoy over our stay and we were all sad to leave. I'm sure we'll make it back there and hopefully sooner than later."

  • All you could hope for and more

"First let me say that Patti is delightful and very helpful, full of information about the area. I have stayed in over 50 cabins over the last 30 years and their cabin in the most well stocked I have every stayed in, if it's not there...you don't need it. The cabin is quaint, clean and comfortable, the screened in porch...delightful. It's private, peaceful and the setting is beautiful. It's a little a hard to find the first time, the street signs are deceiving but once you find it you won't have any problem. The cabin is also conveniently located to everything in the area! Blue Ridge is a must, the shopping is great fun. Take the train ride to McCaysville/Copperhill, we really enjoyed it, the scenery along the trip in beautiful, I can only image the fall season has got to be gorgeous! If you want the best pizza you've ever had in your life got to Blue Jeans! We also took a day and explored downtown Dahlonega, it was such a pleasant place to visit with many small shops to explore, just like Blue Ridge. Will definitely go back...Thank you Patti for sharing your home with us!"

  • Awesome Cabin!!!

"Valhalla is an great cabin ! The owner is exceptional and very friendly! She has given a lot of attention to details and is a great person. We also fell on love with her dogs! That being said, even though she lived nearby, she was never intrusive or anything. We all loved this cabin and would recommend it to ANYONE! Awesome views too! Great sunrise! I just honestly cannot say enough!"

  • Great house for family getaway

"We stayed in this house Labor Day 14 to attend a nearby wedding. Very comfortable for 3 couples and two toddlers. Very "homey" in a way you could relax. Great, large screened-in porch. Very affordable; we stayed three nights for the price of what we would have paid for 3 rooms for one night at a hotel. Bent Tree has many fun activities. Played golf at a beautiful course 2 minutes away, hiked several trails with streams and waterfalls, and swam in two pools right around the corner. There is also a lake close by for canoeing and kayaking. We even went apple picking close by. Janice was very easy to work with. We'd love to come back! Thanks!"
