"We had the good fortune to rent this gorgeous home and another two houses away for a family vacation-turned wedding this summer. It was extremely convenient for nearly two dozen of us to stay within walking distance of each other and of the swim club’s great amenities. The teens enjoyed the club’s pool, lake, rock slide, volley ball, canoes, a snack bar and hiking, while the adults focused on wedding details and grocery shopping at the nearby full-service IGA. It was so much fun staying at this house! The experience was more than we hoped for. The owners, Tom and Judi, were available by phone, text and email at a moment’s notice to answer questions, and they supplied everything we needed, from kitchen gadgets to makeup remover to games and videos. It was like being at home. The level of cleanliness and comfort was excellent. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and the Jacuzzi tub at the end of days of strenuous hiking and golf on the picturesque courses. We’ve vacationed at Big Canoe many times over the years, but this was the first time we required a place large enough for a dozen people. This is where we want to stay from now on!"Guest: Happy traveler Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: September 10, 2014View listing
"We had a wonderful time at your home in Big Canoe. It was so spacious and worked out perfectly for our family - we could all be together having fun, but we still had our own space to retreat to when we needed a breather. :) Your home was quite comfortable and so nicely furnished. The views were absolutely beautiful. Even in winter with the bare trees, etc., we loved looking out over the valley towards the mountains in the distance. We could easily imagine how beautiful it would be to sit out there on a summer morning or evening. The children with us loved the wildlife we saw, including a family of deer and a large, red-headed woodpecker going to town on a tree behind your home. We found Big Canoe to be plenty close to amenities, including a dinner at Fuego right outside the north gate and a Christmas Eve service at Trinity Church just down the road. We also enjoyed exploring Dawsonville and took in a movie there. And on one day, we drove into Atlanta to see the aquarium. So it all worked out splendidly."Guest: VA to GA Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 5, 2014View listing
