  • Great Labor Day vacation

"We have really enjoyed staying in the cabin. Everything was great - the cabin was awesome and cosy, and the views were spectacular. The layout was very convenient - it was my husband and I, our two boys ages 6 and 4, and my parents. We and the boys stayed in the bedrooms upstairs, while my parents stayed in the master suite on the main floor so that they didn't have to deal with climbing stairs. The master suite is very well-equipped with its own jacuzzi tup and separate shower and lots of space in general. We cooked most of our meals at the cabin's very well equipped kitchen - very handy with kids. But our favorite place was certainly the porch which goes along two sides of the cabin, lots of space for everybody to hang out. Also, an important thing is, the cabin is very conveniently located - close to Blue Ridge (where we went to ride on the train and explore the shops etc.) and at the same time, it's very quiet and off the beaten path there. In summary, it was a great vacation."

  • Honeymoon, loved it!

"Sorry my review is so late. I can't begin to express how happy we were with this cabin. We obviously went in the winter so there wasn't a lot of activities going on but we were looking for peace and quiet which we got. We are mid 40's and this time didn't bring our children/grandchildren but would love to on future visits. The cabin was so warm and cozy, very much a "home" feel. I rented a cabin in the same area the year before and it didn't feel like "home". We didn't see much wildlife while we were there but again it could have been the time of the year, it was quite cold. THANK YOU for a wonderful getaway, I do hope we can book this cabin again."

  • Pleasant

"It's so pleasant sitting here on the screened porch reading and sipping some wine from a local winery. It seems to be threatening rain again, but the wind is providing a nice symphony with the chimes. The birdsong is gone for now but maybe we'll get an encore once this weather system has gone through. Can't say enough nice things about this cabin. It allows us to stay on one floor and still enjoy the hot tub. Love the openness of the kitchen. The road is a little busier than I anticipated but maybe after the weekend, quiet will resume. The screened porch allows us to be outside even though the weather seems to want us to stay inside. This cabin was well thought out in its planning. Area is very nice. We have been to Blue Ridge, Morganton, and McCaysville. Will see Ellijay when we venture out again, which will be another day. Determined to just stay here on a Saturday and enjoy what nature has to offer. Ah, the birds are calling again."

  • Nice Place to Be.

"My husband and I bought our dog here and she really enjoyed playing in the river with us everyday and chasing balls in the open field area on the side. We slept well at night in the comfortable bed in the master. We sat the plastic chairs in the river which was really nice. The hot tub jets are super strong and the water pressure in the shower was great. We loved opening the doors in the bedroom in the morning with the cool breeze and the sound of the rushing river. It was soothing to swing on the porch in the afternoon under the double fans. Great location in between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Thanks Deborah for all your help and being so easy to deal with!"
