"We had a wonderful time at Aska Escape. I took my in-laws along with my husband up there for a weekend to relax. It was very peaceful. The weather was perfect. Downtown Blue Ridge is not that far for shopping and good restaurants. We also went to the Toccoa River. And more importantly, we got to spend time at the cabin in the hot tub, by the firepit, grilling out and sitting by the fireplace. It was perfect! I would definitely go back again. Thanks!"

"We decided to take our 8th grade Gifted students on an end of the year goodbye retreat. We searched for properties that were nice and affordable. We searched and searched but could not find anything reasonably priced. Finally, we came upon the Toccoa House property. I called and spoke with the property manager who told me the property was available and the price was right! We stayed 3 days and 2 nights. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed and more. We played pool, foosball, bbq, swam, danced to the surround sound, ate well, and so much more! My students had so much fun; they did not want to leave. Thank you Toccoa House for helping me and my students create a memory that they will cherish forever. We will definitely be back!"

"We had a very nice time on the river. The house was very well outfitted, toilet paper paper towels. We ate in most meals so was glad to see the kitchen so well outfitted. We enjoyed eating out on the deck. We did eat a few meals out and it is not far from town. So many nice restaurants to eat at. We ate at Blue Ridge Brewery and the Black Sheep. Both were very good. We enjoyed the firepit and did smores down there. Also got in the hot tub and enjoyed that. Kids got in the water. While we were there we went whitewater rafting on the Ocoee, kayaked the Toccoa River and tried to paddleboard but the proprieter of the only game in town was not very agreeable. We went to the Saturday open farmers market in town and really enjoyed that and picked apples at Mercier Orchards (they also have great vegetables and fruit.) If you want to use inner tubes, bring them from home. None at the house and none at the wallmart or dollar store, and I thought it was still summer. No problems with the tv, but internet service didn't work till the last day there. The driveway is a little intimidating at first but if you really can't handle it, I am sure you could park down below and use the stairs. The recomendations below say age 55+, I would check it if you can handle stairs because my husband and I are both 55+ so use your judgement. I used the stairs as exercise. All and all we had a wonderful time."

"My Mom, my husband and I spent 10 days around Christmas at this cabin and had a blast! We loved the big fireplace, and built a fire almost every night. A couple of days it was really chilly and rainy, and we kept it going all day! Leanne was a pleasure to deal with, and addressed all of our concerns before our trip. There was plenty of cupboard space to store all of our groceries, something we had an issue with when renting other cabins. We were amazed that, being a pet-friendly cabin, it was immaculately clean, with no "dog smell" whatsoever! The covered patio was a great place to store the wood, and kept it nice and dry. On the nicer days, we enjoyed sitting on the porch and reading or just watching the world go by. Drove into Blue Ridge a number of times, a nice 20 minute drive to a quaint, lovely town. Took the Blue Ridge Railway trip and loved it! A nice grocery store (Ingles) had everything we needed, and we had to visit Mercier Orchards for some fried pies! We also went to Helen, GA (only about an hour away) and had a delightful time. Dillard House Restaurant, in Dillard, GA, is only about an hour away, too, and well worth the trip. We had 2 disappointments...that it didn't snow and that we didn't see any deer! Guess we'll have to stay again to get one or the other!!"
