  • nice time on the river

"We had a very nice time on the river. The house was very well outfitted, toilet paper paper towels. We ate in most meals so was glad to see the kitchen so well outfitted. We enjoyed eating out on the deck. We did eat a few meals out and it is not far from town. So many nice restaurants to eat at. We ate at Blue Ridge Brewery and the Black Sheep. Both were very good. We enjoyed the firepit and did smores down there. Also got in the hot tub and enjoyed that. Kids got in the water. While we were there we went whitewater rafting on the Ocoee, kayaked the Toccoa River and tried to paddleboard but the proprieter of the only game in town was not very agreeable. We went to the Saturday open farmers market in town and really enjoyed that and picked apples at Mercier Orchards (they also have great vegetables and fruit.) If you want to use inner tubes, bring them from home. None at the house and none at the wallmart or dollar store, and I thought it was still summer. No problems with the tv, but internet service didn't work till the last day there. The driveway is a little intimidating at first but if you really can't handle it, I am sure you could park down below and use the stairs. The recomendations below say age 55+, I would check it if you can handle stairs because my husband and I are both 55+ so use your judgement. I used the stairs as exercise. All and all we had a wonderful time."

  • Amazing is an understatement...

"Having owned and operated a rental ourselves in the area several years ago, we rented Amazing Grace with the attitude that it could never compare with our own house. We were wrong! Amazing Grace Lodge surpassed our every expectation and was an incredibly wonderful surprise! The owner was pleasant and professional, not to mention friendly, from the very first contact. The property is breathtaking from the outside, located on a mountainside setting with beautiful views. The lot is tastefully landscaped and has plenty of parking. The outside porches are welcoming and were actually decorated for autumn--what a cool surprise! Seeing the house for the first time, I simply wandered from gorgeous room to incredible view to more beautiful rooms. Every room in the house is built with top-notch quality construction, and was clearly built as a home, not a rental. The entire house, inside & out, was decorated for fall with loving care and a personal touch. The home is filled with family pictures, gorgeous furniture, tons of kitchen gadgets & cookware & serviceware, personal touches and homey warmth. I called the owner to compliment him on the property and the amenities. The location is wonderful--close to town, yet secluded, and in a gated neighborhood of beautiful homes. I highly recommend this property for family reunions, getaways with friends, and holiday celebrations. The best feature?--the HUGE porch with fireplace and comfortable furniture...we spent every night out there for hours just enjoying the fire, the woods, the smells, and the entire atmosphere. Just perfect!"

  • Great house and property!

"We stayed with 10 people - 5 adults, 5 kids. Owners are great to work with. Great layout with 2 master bedrooms and the separate sunroom. We fished, used the firepit, used the hot tub, pool table - basically everything but the TVs/sound systems. It is also close enough to blue ridge for shopping/eating out. This cabin is very secluded, hard to see/hear any neighbors at all (there's one across the creek waaaay up the hill). Will definitely consider coming back!"

Blue Ridge Travel Tips

Enjoy the Mountain View from Blue Ridge Cabins

If you reserve one of the Blue Ridge cabins for your next vacation, you'll be able to enjoy the mountains and explore the area while staying in a private home. Instead of spending your down time in a cramped hotel room, your family can enjoy the space and privacy that Blue Ridge GA cabin rentals offer. Because these cabins are owned and rented by individual homeowners, each one offers different amenities. Choose from rentals with private hot tubs, whirlpool tubs, gourmet kitchens or balconies with mountain views.

Catch Trout from Blue Ridge GA Cabin Rentals

One of the main reasons that people enjoy their stay at Blue Ridge cabins is the trout fishing. Some Blue Ridge GA cabin rentals are even located creek side. If you're not lucky enough to get a reservation to one of these prime spots during the fishing season, take a short drive over to the Toccoa River or Rock Creek. The Toccoa River is stocked on a weekly basis during trout season. On Rock Creek, you'll find a mixture of stocked and wild trout. If you'd like to venture into unknown territory, cast your fly line in the Noontootla Creek or the waters of the Cohutta Wilderness Area.

Go Back in Time at the Swan Drive-In

When you stay in one of the Blue Ridge vacation rentals , you can take a trip back in time with a visit to the landmark Swan Drive-In. Movie goers from all around Georgia flock to the Swan to satisfy their taste for a past era. This authentic drive-in movie theater has been in continuous operation since 1955. While you're there, you'll be able to take in a new-release flick on the big screen, snack on popcorn and funnel cakes from the concession stand, and even buy a T-shirt to commemorate the experience.
