  • Love the TRL!!

"I was in charge of finding a cabin to satisfy 6 people and one dog. At the end of our stay I must say I hit a home run. Great cabin, great location."

  • Beautiful cabin and town!

"The cabin was beautiful and in a beautiful area. Everything we needed for the weekend was available in the cabin. Only a few minutes drive to the city center for excellent dining and site seeing. Only thing I would change was the key, I'd pay extra to have the ability to get the key in another way; it took us a while to figure out the lock box both upon arrival and leaving. Otherwise it was perfect! We can't wait to go back."

  • Cabin away from home...

"Honestly, I have never been on a vacation where I wasn't ready to get home....NEVER. This is the first time I didn't want to leave. I could live there! It is so peaceful, soul-lifting, beautiful, serene, fun. Words cannot describe this cabin/property. We are a family of 7. Kids ages are 5 - 13. Never a dull moment...Never heard the words "I'm bored". You do not need to leave the property to have a great time - the kids were so worn out by the end of the day from all of their adventures, it was great! Previous reviews said they didn't see a soul on their visits and that is the truth. We spent 6 nights, hiked for miles down that stream and there wasn't another person or house. One of my favorite things to do was sipping coffee on the porch, listening to the stream, watching the kids search for crawdads. The antique stove was so much fun to cook with. We made cobblers, pulled roast pork, etc - works like a charm and so unique! Loved taking pictures of the kids at the mill, with the tractor....You just have to book this place to see all of the amazing things that I'm sure we didn't even cover on our trip. I can't wait to go back. One of a kind property! P.S. If I could give one tip...If you plan on hiking IN the stream (and I recommend it because you miss some beautiful sites just staying on the trails), like we did many times....wear an old pair of tennis shoes - it will save your feet. There are many beautiful rocks and the majority are not even slippery. We just noticed after miles of hiking, water shoes didn't offer enough cushion. Slipped on tennis shoes and we were good to go. OH! And grab a hiking stick - they have some by the front door!"

  • Fantastic Family Trip

"We had the pleasure of staying for a week with adult children and 18 month old granddaughter. It was a wet week but we all know Mother Nature has a will of her own. The home is spacious and well decorated. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, cooking utensils. We cooked daily and enjoyed time together in the kitchen and outdoor grilling. The lodge is located in a quiet secluded area and the creek is beautiful with access to fish, float or just enjoy the lovely natural surroundings. The access is a little difficult unless you have a 4 wheel drive truck or all wheel drive car. But definitely worth the trip - we enjoyed it as a central hub for fishing, going on some day trips to Blue Ridge, local apple orchards, Amicalola Falls State Park and Helen. All great days with family fun and laughter. We went to the Annual Apple Festival and had a great time too. Hope to go back again - the North Georgia Mountains and views, the local community and the lodge owners were very helpful and responded quickly if we had questions or concerns."
