"This was my second time staying at this log home! Naturally, I returned because the awesome accommodations, great views and the owners are easy to work with and very friendly. Beds are comfortable and you have everything you need in the kitchen. It is great relaxing on the porch in the rocking chairs or hanging out on the deck in the hot tub (awesome views) where there are table and chairs, cooking on the grill or chilling out in the living room in front of the fire place. The game room is fun! The first time, my best friend and I went. Most recently, my best friend and I returned with my sister and one of her good friends. Blue Ridge is only 10 to 15 minutes away where you can buy groceries. Downtown Blue Ridge has an area of quaint shops (two of my favorites are The Vine Wine Bar and Bistro and Blue Ridge Olive Oil Company) and the Blue Ridge Scenic Rail. There are many other towns and sights within 15 minutes to an hours drive. There are a number of falls and hiking trails in the area. If you enjoy wine, there are wineries worth visiting. Frogtown and Montaluce are very nice. You might want to check what days the wineries are open, their hours and if they serve lunch and what days. My sister and our friends are already talking about returning again."

  • Great View and Large Rooms

"We had a great time this weekend. A few things I think would be helpful to know. The rooms are large, so you can easily put a pack and play or a cot in any of the rooms. Three of the rooms were large enough for two kids to sleep on the floor with room to spare. Yes, those are double ovens and they both work great. We made 150 cookies in an hour and a half as a group activity. The crows nest slept the two older boys in sleeping bags with room to spare. They loved having their own room. The kitchen is REALLY well stocked. Plenty of plates and silverware for our big group. We fed 19 for dinner and we had plenty of plates to spare. There is room for five cars and six is possible but it would be really tight. The roads are steep, in winter I think I would want four wheel drive. The baths are jack and jill's so you don't have to walk through other peoples bedrooms to use the restroom. JoeAnne was very responsive and easy to work with. We rent using VRBO two to three times a year, this home was a wonderful experience all around, and we would recommend it to anyone."

  • Best Birthday Trip EVER!!!!

"My friends and I stayed at this cabin for my birthday this past winter and it was a blast. The place had so much personality to it that it really felt like home or the home of a relative. It was fully stocked with everything. The only thing we had to bring was the food and beverages. We enjoyed the hot tub and even took a dip in the freezing cold river the first night we were there. We cozied up by the fire both inside and outside while we were there. We didn't do much fishing but we should have with all the fish we saw darting around in the water located just steps away from the cabin. The night skies were amazing to look at while we relaxed in the hot tub or some of us sat around the camp fire telling laughing and telling stories. This will definitely go down as one of my most memorable birthdays and I look forward to coming back again soon for a one of a kind experience!!!"

  • Everything I wanted and more

"I am a young entrepreneur and I needed some time away. Chattanooga is my favorite city so this seemed like a great option. My mom, boyfriend, myself, and three dogs stayed here and LOVED it! There's hang gliding if you need adventure, hiking for sightseeing, shopping in Chattanooga, and much more. The owner is so nice and accommodating. The house has everything you will need and it is so cozy! I was unsure about the hanging bed but it is SO COMFORTABLE! I'll be returning for my birthday next year! If you stay here, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!"
