  • Great cabin!

"We had so much fun at the Toccoa Pearl! We arrived on Friday night and the place looked amazing. The rooms are really nice and the kitchen is really cute. We spent a lot of our time downstairs playing pool and the arcade game. Loved that there was another kitchen down there so that we didn't have to run upstairs all the time. We had a lot of fun tubing down the river, we did it multiple times. We really had a great time here and will be coming back in the future!"

  • Beautiful Cabin

"It was a very nice stay for my family and I. We we in the river fishing for most of the trip. We did not realize nor were we told that the river was so far down from the cabin. Not a good trip down for older people or people that are out of shape. There were some items that did not work in the cabin, but our trip was still wonderful. No complaints just want to make other people aware. The fishing was great too."

  • nice time on the river

"We had a very nice time on the river. The house was very well outfitted, toilet paper paper towels. We ate in most meals so was glad to see the kitchen so well outfitted. We enjoyed eating out on the deck. We did eat a few meals out and it is not far from town. So many nice restaurants to eat at. We ate at Blue Ridge Brewery and the Black Sheep. Both were very good. We enjoyed the firepit and did smores down there. Also got in the hot tub and enjoyed that. Kids got in the water. While we were there we went whitewater rafting on the Ocoee, kayaked the Toccoa River and tried to paddleboard but the proprieter of the only game in town was not very agreeable. We went to the Saturday open farmers market in town and really enjoyed that and picked apples at Mercier Orchards (they also have great vegetables and fruit.) If you want to use inner tubes, bring them from home. None at the house and none at the wallmart or dollar store, and I thought it was still summer. No problems with the tv, but internet service didn't work till the last day there. The driveway is a little intimidating at first but if you really can't handle it, I am sure you could park down below and use the stairs. The recomendations below say age 55+, I would check it if you can handle stairs because my husband and I are both 55+ so use your judgement. I used the stairs as exercise. All and all we had a wonderful time."

  • Relaxing getaway

"Sundowner is a beautiful mountain top cabin, perfect for getting away from it all, but still handy to Blue Ridge and Ellijay. The mountain views and sunsets are amazing!!! We had several rainy days that curtailed our hiking plans, but we managed one waterfall hike, and enjoyed daily walks with our dog around the beautiful Hidden Lakes neighborhood. We will seriously consider this area in our retirement plans!"
