"We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Very clean and everything that we needed for a great trip. Location is great. The dog bed came in handy our little dog enjoyed it. We felt very much at home. Thanks for sharing your home with us."

  • Great location!

"We enjoyed this well-maintained older cottage. It was clean and well equipped. We spent almost all our time in the lake and on the porch. The location was absolutely perfect, and the rates were very reasonable."

  • Cabin away from home...

"Honestly, I have never been on a vacation where I wasn't ready to get home....NEVER. This is the first time I didn't want to leave. I could live there! It is so peaceful, soul-lifting, beautiful, serene, fun. Words cannot describe this cabin/property. We are a family of 7. Kids ages are 5 - 13. Never a dull moment...Never heard the words "I'm bored". You do not need to leave the property to have a great time - the kids were so worn out by the end of the day from all of their adventures, it was great! Previous reviews said they didn't see a soul on their visits and that is the truth. We spent 6 nights, hiked for miles down that stream and there wasn't another person or house. One of my favorite things to do was sipping coffee on the porch, listening to the stream, watching the kids search for crawdads. The antique stove was so much fun to cook with. We made cobblers, pulled roast pork, etc - works like a charm and so unique! Loved taking pictures of the kids at the mill, with the tractor....You just have to book this place to see all of the amazing things that I'm sure we didn't even cover on our trip. I can't wait to go back. One of a kind property! P.S. If I could give one tip...If you plan on hiking IN the stream (and I recommend it because you miss some beautiful sites just staying on the trails), like we did many times....wear an old pair of tennis shoes - it will save your feet. There are many beautiful rocks and the majority are not even slippery. We just noticed after miles of hiking, water shoes didn't offer enough cushion. Slipped on tennis shoes and we were good to go. OH! And grab a hiking stick - they have some by the front door!"

  • We loved our visit to Blue Ridge!!

"This is a beautiful house. We wished we could have stayed for more days, but sadly only had a long weekend here. The owners were so sweet. The house is well stocked and simply gorgeous cabin style house. It is not directly on the lake, but you can see the lake from the house and there is a private dock- boathouse type, where we climbed on top with our wine, music and munchies. It seems to be a very quiet gated neighborhood which is only minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. We loved this convenience. It is not tucked away at the top of the mountain, but it is very dark when arriving at night. We have no reservations about recommending it to anyone and we cannot wait for our next opportunity to visit."
