  • A quiet haven in the forest

"We arrived to find everything as it had been described. The owners gave us lots of information about the property and how everything worked as well as about lots of things to do in the area. The cabin is in a quiet area with lots of yard. We built a campfire several evenings. Almost every night we were visited by deer, which we could view from the screened in porch or the hot tub. We were in the hot tub every day too-- it felt so good because the mornings and evenings could get a little chilly, which was wonderful for us being from Florida. There was no traffic noise, just stillness. The owners prepared us for no cell coverage, and that was pretty nice. We had great wifi, though, so didn't feel too cut off. There was a fireplace which we didn't use, but which would make the living room nice and cozy in the winter. The only drawback to this place is that it's pretty far from everything, including a paved road (over a mile up a gravel road to the cabin). Our gps failed us at least once, leading to a bit of a hairy situation. Nonetheless, it's a beautiful setting, and we spent the week hiking, floating, shopping, and exploring."

  • Great house and property!

"We stayed with 10 people - 5 adults, 5 kids. Owners are great to work with. Great layout with 2 master bedrooms and the separate sunroom. We fished, used the firepit, used the hot tub, pool table - basically everything but the TVs/sound systems. It is also close enough to blue ridge for shopping/eating out. This cabin is very secluded, hard to see/hear any neighbors at all (there's one across the creek waaaay up the hill). Will definitely consider coming back!"

  • Relaxing Time

"My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful mountain home. We have two small kids and we had more than enough room to spread out and enjoy the wooded mountain scenery. Upon our arrival, the owner met us in person to bring us towels and give us advice about things to do in the area. We took the kids to do some gem mining in North Carolina, which was about an hour north of the cabin. We also went on another excursion to the Tuckaleechee Caverns in the smoky mountains in eastern Tennessee. That drive was about 2 1/2 hours away. It was nice to have fun things that we could drive to. There is a nice park for the kids in downtown Blue Ridge. Also, if my kids were older it would have been nice to go white water rafting in the Ocoee River. Overall, the cabin is really comfortable and we had a great time!"
