"We had a wonderful time at the cabin! We were a little worried when we had to turn onto gravel to find the cabin but rest assured it is just a short distance and once you see the view- it is worth it! It rained a little but it didn't matter, we all enjoyed the pool table and arcade games. The hot tub inside the screened in porch was such a luxury. So many of the other rentals just have them on the ground next to the woods but we were able to use it so much more and without the worries of "wildlife" around.
While you can hear a lot of what is going on in the house, I brought fans for the bedrooms and it created white noise. My husband stayed up late a couple nights to watch t.v and I couldn't hear anything. The owner closet has one larger fan as well.
The kitchen was well stocked, we prepared all meals there and had all the comforts of home. The was even a Keurig, I could have left mine at home. There is a large kitchen table so we had plenty of room to enjoy dinner and then played games there as well. The pollen was at record highs so we didn't eat outside but did enjoy the outdoor fireplace for smores.
There were a couple things that came up and the owners took care of everything very quickly. They were very easy to work with and we highly recommend this rental.
There is so much to do close by from renting a boat at the Marina, fishing in the river, and hiking in the mountains. We are going to plan a return trip very soon."

"For my small family(wife, kids and I) stayed her and loved it! Place has everything you need(not consumables) from the bathroom to the kitchen. Kids love the loft room 5" ceiling. Looks like a room designed just for them. Loved that it's stocked with all the old VHS that I watched as a kid. Cute little place. Hope to come back. Perfect for the small family. Btw one of the only mountain houses with a yard to play catch!"

Comfortable home, well furnished, gorgeous view; 4.5 stars
"This is a wonderful place for a get-away. The view of the lake is lovely and changes constantly with the Sun, clouds, rain, fog, and wind. Every time you look, the lake and mountains have taken on a new personality. It's a great place to view the Fall colors.
The house itself has all the amenities a couple needs to allow them to just relax and enjoy the privacy, the view, and the clean fresh air.
The road up to the cabin is 'interesting'. I've driven roads with hairpin turns before so I had no trouble climbing the steep, narrow road in my manual transmission Mazda. You don't need a jeep. But be aware it could be a challenging climb for inexperienced drivers.
I gave this place 5 stars, but there are a few minor 'misses' that could be easily fixed:
1. Both coffee makers require the Melita #4 V-shape coffee filters, but the only filters provided were the standard Mr Coffee type. I made small pots of coffee to avoid an accident.
2. NOT ENOUGH TOWELS. (??) I could only find 2 set of towels for each bathroom. That was ok for our morning showers the first day, but what about using the Hot Tub that night? And what about using the shower and hot tub the next day? Guests should NOT have to wash and dry the towels every day.
3. GREEN firewood. Really green. I've used fireplaces for years, and even though I brought firesticks and kindling to get the logs going, I still wound up with a room full of smoke and had to open the door and windows. It took about 2 hours for the wood to dry out enough to really start burning hot before I could think about adding any more logs.
4. The hot tub cover can't be fully lifted off. I had to lift it mostly off and hope it didn't fall back on us. The lights in the hot tub weren't working. The plastic step to get into the hot tub is kind of 'cheesy'. It needs to be replaced with a larger, solid set of wood steps.
--These 4 items aren't show-stoppers. Visitors just need to be aware - but more importantly the cabin owners ought to make these few changes so that the cabin can get the SIX stars it deserves."
