  • Carriage House

"The Carriage House was more than what we expected. The cabin had everything for all ages (11-71). We loved that we were so close to town yet far away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The property was beautiful and we were able to walk to the river and see the other properties as well. We would highly recommend staying at any of the Toccoa House Properties and we will be back in the future!"

  • Wonderful experience for a different sort of vacation

"My family normally looks for sun'n' beach or sun'n'pool vacations when we want to get away. In fact, we first learned of this place when we stayed at the owners rental in Florida a few years back, and have been interested in visiting it ever since. The drive up into Lookout mountain itself is exciting (coming from the flat prairie lands of the midwest). Then walking out on the enormous balcony overlooking the valley was something else. From that balcony we could watch sunrises/sunsets, storms and lighting shows in the far distance, and of course the clouds. We had a different viewing experience nearly every day. There is a large hot tub, a grill, dinning table and lounge furniture around a fire pit. We spent most of our time out there, day and night, eating, drinking and relaxing -- just what we were looking for on this vacation. Back inside, we kept the french doors to the balcony open most of the time during the day creating a nice indoor/outdoor vibe. The furniture is very plentiful and comfy, and the kitchen well stocked. The best is the buck stove for keeping us cozy during the chilly nights. This place is also very dog-friendly, one of the reasons we rent with the owners. Our dog could completely run free in the fenced front yard and on the balcony/open family room. She loved our walks up and down the drive, and also the hikes in the local state parks. Outside of hiking in the parks, we didn't really get away from Ridgetop much, but for a reason. It is so relaxing and beautiful. loved it."

  • Wonderful Family Thanksgiving Vacation

"We had our grown children, spouses, and grandchildren at Bella Vista and had a great time! The cabin was well-stocked in the kitchen and with linens. I brought a few extra pans and dishes and was able to fix a full, traditional Turkey Day meal. In addition to the 5 BR's there were many pull-out sleepers. The resort is huge and beautiful. There are deer everywhere! The property manager had everything in order and everything was accurately represented. We'd definitely return!"

  • Truly a Heavenly Hideaway

"This cabin was fantastic! Secluded high atop the North Georgia Mountains, it offered a much needed escape from the stressors and demands of everyday life. The home was fully equipped with everything you would need from toiletries, to laundry detergent, even hot chocolate. The owners have thought of it all and outdone themselves to offer a cozy getaway. The interior of the cabin is nicely decorated with rustic charm, and brings the entire experience together. A beautiful stone fireplace is the center piece of family gatherings in the living room. Flat screen TV's throughout and internet included (just be aware of how many people are connected to the Wifi at one time because it slowed the connection) Two private porches overlooking a lush green area outback, complete with grill, firepiy, rocking chairs and of course a hot tub! The beds were cozy and there was plenty of space for the entire family to bond as a group, or to experience some alone time and much needed peace and quiet. The owner was very accommodating and easy to get a hold of when I need to reach her which I appreciated very much. Staying at Heavenly Hideawayas a surprise for my husband's 50th birthday was a blast being surrounded by family in this beautiful cabin. I can't wait to return!"
