"From the outside, the lodge looks like a faded pair of jeans. Inside it is as cozy and comfortable as those jeans. Beautiful woodwork, nice furniture, a wonderful view from the decks as well as a breathtaking show of color in the sky just before sunrise from the master bedroom. Conveniently located to Blue Ridge, GA with great shops and restaurants, and just minutes from Lake Blue Ridge where we launched our canoe. Easy access up a dirt road to the lodge with only a few neighbors (who we rarely saw). Highly recommend this place for short or long term stays. Oh, and lots of waterfalls to see and golf to play in the surrounding area."

"This great cabin is nestled in the woods and very private even though there are cabins situated on all sides. There is a great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the top deck. The main deck, which is where you will probably spend most of your time, is surrounded by peaceful woods.
All three floors have a bedroom and a full bath on them (the top floor is a sleeping nook open to the main floor). The cabin has everything you need in the kitchen and ample linens. We affectionately named the bottom floor the "man cave". It had the largest t.v. and foosball table. The room opened onto it's own porch, also surrounded by peaceful woods. The bedroom on this floor does not have any windows, so it is perfect for sleeping in late.
There is a gas grill and a chiminea on the main deck. We spent our last two nights sitting out on the deck and enjoying a fire since the nights were still just cool enough.
The Blue Ridge area is very nice and quaint with several things to do within a short drive. We were far enough out of the main stream to enjoy the mountain air and scenery, but a short drive took us to anything we needed or wanted. I would highly recommend a trip to this area and Alan is a fantastic host!"

"My brother wanted a laid back spot for his bachelor party weekend and Baer's didn't disappoint. We had blast all weekend. The house had a great location on the lake, was clean, and made for a great weekend. We spent plenty of time of the "double decker" dock and even rented a boat for a day (which I definitely recommend). Anybody looking for a place for a large party to get together have a great weekend can't go wrong here."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our Labor Day weekend at this lakehouse. It has everything you need for a great family weekend. The house is very clean and comfortable. Very nice dock and great wrap around porch (with hammock!). Highly recommend. We hope to return."
