  • Quiet weekend

"Quiet weekend get-a-way...this cabin was just what we needed to reconnect. We had everything needed to relax and recharge. The view from the upper deck was stunning."

  • Peaceful, relaxing back porch sunsets

"We used this as our family vacation spot before or girls went back to college. The first thing to note is that the photos can not describe how a great the house and location to the lake. The house is beautiful and well appointed with all the comforts needed. Our favorite was the large back porch with your choice of rocking chairs, swings, or hammock. We all took turn taking naps in the hammock, not to be missed! Even though it was August the temps on the back porch were very comfortable. We ate all of our meals on the back porch as well. The house has great views of the lake, facing west you get great sunsets each night. The dock and the lake are very close to the house and we spent a great deal of time on the dock playing in the water. The fire pit near the lake was enjoyable for s'mores after dark. We all agree that this was one of the most peaceful relaxing vacations we have had in years. If your looking for a place to get away and really relax this is the place. We are already planning a return visit for next summer."

  • Nice & Cozy

"With few exceptions, this was a great get-away place. It's not really secluded, as there are homes and rentals everywhere, but it still felt like we were a million miles away from everything. No cell signal on US Cellular, but strong (if slow) Internet connection. The property was clean and well-maintained and the sound of that creek on the property was just wonderful. If you don't like a hard bed, I'd recommend bringing an inflatable mattress - it is NOT a comfortable bed at all and was a lot like sleeping on plywood covered in steel. Not nearly enough space in the kitchen for guests to store food off of the counters, but an abundance of dishes and cookware available. Not the world's greatest grill, but it was great in a pinch. The porch and swing were just awesome for relaxing in the late afternoon sun. Overall, we had a wonderful time and Hope Landing provided a cozy and comfy place for us to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature."

  • Another great "Quilt Retreat"

"Eight ladies, seven of them quilters and one crocheter. This was the 2nd stay for several of us at the Bella Montagne and those that were there for their 1st stay said they will be back. We had a wonderfu week with much cooler temps than what we were experiencing in Florida, and the ladies all loved the views from the back deck. We all enjoyed our morning coffee while watching the sun come over the mountains. There was plenty of room for us all to set up our machines, and enjoy a great nights rest without feeling cramped. We managed to get loads of quilts and projects completed and even managed to leave a little something for the owners. Thank you once again for a great gals getaway."
