"This rental is absolutely perfect for a low key girls trip! My sister booked this home for my bachelorette weekend and my girlfriends raved about how many fun "extras" that this place has. Kayaks, paddle board, fire pit, TRAMPOLINE, need to say more? The home has a welcoming feel and encourages the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. We would come back here in a heartbeat. I'd recommend it to anyone :)"

"What a wonderful location for a family weekend. The proximity to the river is awesome, and the decks make a lovely place to eat dinner under the trees and listen to the river. The nextdoor neighbor dog made a wonderful companion as well. The door locks need to be changed out (we had a heck of a time opening and locking the doors.) But that's a small issue that didn't detract at all from the loveliness of the weekend!"

"We enjoyed our 2 month stay in Waleska. The view of the lake from the great room and from the spacious deck was appreciated. We always found things to do. We cooked out several times, went for pontoon rides, went to the beautiful golf course and had some good food at the welcoming Club House. We had some friends join us for a couple weeks and found the house clean and comfortable. There were some great restaurants and activities in surrounding towns. We went to several wine tastings in Ellijay, Cummins and in Dahlonega where we found some quaint shops and some great seafood at the "Back Porch". Also great seafood at "Goin Coastal" restaurant in Canton 15-20 min. away. Overall a very relaxing, fun and adventurous get away."

"There is absolutely nothing negative to say about HHL. The setting is beautiful - colorful flowers decorate the entrance to the lodge, which is hidden by dense trees off the road, in view of only forested mountains off in the distance. The owners Harriet and Steve put great attention to detail into their guests' stays - from the fresh flowers on the dining table and screened porch, to the horseshoes placed delicately next to the posts ready for play outside. They even assembled a collection of pamphlets describing local attractions should guests wish to explore Mentone! Speaking of - the Wildflower Café (a local restaurant) is a must for anyone looking for a great local meal. We will definitely be coming back soon when we have more time to explore the on-site hiking trails and other natural attractions."
