  • Nice house, great yard

"We enjoyed our stay! Great for a family with little ones: nice flat yard to play, tire swing, creek to wade in, etc. It was a quick drive to Murphy and Blue Ridge if you want to explore the area. My only (slight) disappointment was that the towels and sheets were not very nice. I would bring my own, as none of them were white, so hadn't been bleached and the towels need to be replaced. I would recommend for a small family!"

  • A Very Blessed Nonni

"I took my 13 year old grandson to cloudland for his fall break. The cabin was a perfect central location for all we wanted to do. We went to “Tigers For Tomorrow”, a wildlife refuge for tigers and lions, wolves and bears, and took the “Guided Education Tour”. I would recommend this for anyone! So awesome! http://www.tigersfortomorrow.org/ We blew glass ornaments @ orbixhotglass.com Such a fun trip. The people there are very sweet and made the experience special for both of us. We went water-fall hunting, both in Desoto Falls and Little River Canyon. (be sure to take your camera). We also visited “Down on the Farm” and went through their corn maze….three hours later we still had not found all of the 6 stations…but lots of fun. We ate @ “The Wildflower Café” where my grandson ordered the best pizza we’ve ever had. This place is like a little “Pixie-land” outside, twinkling lights, colored mosaic benches, and beautiful flowers everywhere. Around the corner, is “St. Joseph's-on-the-Mountain”, a little church w/ the most beautiful stained glass windows. The town of Mentone has lots of little shops on either side of the street and a “Farmers Mket” on Saturday morning. Just be sure to check the city calendar from October through the winter months. A lot of the stores close thru the week and you never know when or what will be open. http://www.mymentone.com/ You might also want to check to see which time zone you will be in when going places. Cloudland is eastern, but a few miles out, you could be in central, depending on where you are going. Sara was a pleasure to work with. I have wanted to visit her cabin for a couple of years, and booked early to make sure we could get dates in October, as they go fast. Of course the porch was a special place. We had our daily devotions there…played checkers, cards and Battleship. (It rained our first 2 and ½ days there) Our last night, my grandson and I had a sweet 2 hours on the glider, w/ my arms wrapped around him just talking about all we had done and what we liked best. He said the best part, for him, was just what we were doing, spending time on the glider and talking… Thanks Sara."

  • Thanksgiving weekend

"We arrived to a warm glowing cabin after a long day of travel. The cabin has just about all your needs and there are stores nearby in either direction. We are avid geocachers and love to hike so this cabin was close to tons of both. You can go to nearby Pigeon Mountain and hike the trails, go to Rocktown there and watch boulderers....that was new for us. You are near the Pinhoti Trail, Lookout Mtn, Rock City, Ruby Falls, many sites in Chattanooga or you could just hang out at the cabin. There is a DVD player so bring your favorites or a good book, the table is plenty big enough for a jigsaw puzzle for everyone to work on together. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after a few long days on the trails, we went to see the Christmas lights at Rock City one evening. I'd recommend checking out the eateries and sites on Trip Advisor, you can't go wrong! Lots to do in this area and you could spend weeks exploring! The caretakers were awesome and most helpful with advance information and quick when we asked for some firewood for the fire pit. Don't miss the beautiful sunsets!"

  • Blessings are easily found here . . .

"My annual retreat for relaxation and fly fishing was blessed beyond measure during my recent stay here. The cabin was perfect in size, creek accessibility for easy wading was important to me, and the fish responded nicely to my offerings. The weather was awesome and the host, (Jim and Sally), were gracious and responsive to any needs. The cabin was clean and well maintained, being exactly as described on the website. Access to the cabin from Ellijay was easy and all roads leading to the cabin were in excellent order, making it about a smoothe 8-10 minute drive from East Ellijay. I don't think you will find a better deal for this size cabin anywhere. After four nights here, I felt blessed beyond imagination and look forward to a return in the future."
