  • Great Family Getaway

"The property was exactly what we expected and made for a wonderful Thanksgiving getaway. The home comfortably slept four families. The open floor concept made for great place for everyone to hang out. As for locality of the home, we could easily get to downtown and all the attractions on the mountain. We would definitely come back in the summer just to hang out. There is no doubt; I would recommend this property as a place to stay."

  • A quiet haven in the forest

"We arrived to find everything as it had been described. The owners gave us lots of information about the property and how everything worked as well as about lots of things to do in the area. The cabin is in a quiet area with lots of yard. We built a campfire several evenings. Almost every night we were visited by deer, which we could view from the screened in porch or the hot tub. We were in the hot tub every day too-- it felt so good because the mornings and evenings could get a little chilly, which was wonderful for us being from Florida. There was no traffic noise, just stillness. The owners prepared us for no cell coverage, and that was pretty nice. We had great wifi, though, so didn't feel too cut off. There was a fireplace which we didn't use, but which would make the living room nice and cozy in the winter. The only drawback to this place is that it's pretty far from everything, including a paved road (over a mile up a gravel road to the cabin). Our gps failed us at least once, leading to a bit of a hairy situation. Nonetheless, it's a beautiful setting, and we spent the week hiking, floating, shopping, and exploring."

  • Best Trip We've Had!

"My wife and I rented out the Mountaintop Getaway for three nights in late September, to celebrate her birthday, and had an amazing stay. The moment we stepped foot in the front door we were amazed by how nice the cabin was. Then your stare makes it to the right, to the wall of windows and the amazingly beautiful view across the Appalachian Mountains. The deck is very large and seating is plentiful, all around the cabin. My wife and I spent most of the time on the deck, enjoying the view. By far, this was the best stocked, most well kept, and nicest cabin we've stayed at. The Magic Fire grill was an absolute joy on which to cook and the food was delicious. There were plenty of paper towels, cookware, plates/glasses/bowels/flatware, etc. We will definitely be booking another stay and we're already looking forward to it!"
