"We had a wonderful week over Easter, complete with an Easter egg hunt on the extensive front lawn. Plenty of room for the family, and enjoyment for people of all ages. The house is superb, the views magnificent, and the location ideal for day trips to any part of the Big Island. What a great place! Will be coming back as soon as possible."

"Very comfortable home near the Waipio Valley Overlook.
Small kitchen, but well stocked with what ever you need to cook. Tex Drive-in for Malasadas.
Very close to nature, so we saw lovely plants, cows, horses, birds, geckos, ect. Wonderful view too.
The bird songs were wonderful, but the frog sounds at night could be irritating. That may vary with the time of year. Comfortable beds. Go to the Hawaii Vanilla Company farm - have lunch and take the tour. Delicious, fun and informative. Only a 15 or 20 minute drive. Walk down to the beach from the Waipio Valley Overlook."

"My girlfriend and I made a last minute decision to take a trip to Hawaii for our one year anniversary. We wanted to see the Big Island, but also wanted privacy and to be away from the crowded resorts and be surrounded by nature. We spent some time looking at different rentals and as soon as we saw this one we knew right away this place was perfect for our needs. The owner was incredibly responsive and quick to answer our questions and get us situated. When we arrived at the place, the next morning, we were blown away by the sheer beauty of the land. The pictures definitely don't do justice. We arrived late in the evening on the island and the owner was very accommodating to that. The peace and tranquility there is exquisite. There is an entire private spa at the bottom level which made for great relaxation after a day out exploring. The plot of land has so many fresh fruits, we had fresh lemons, melons, and bananas and made a beautiful healthy breakfast every morning which we enjoyed on the deck overlooking the pacific. The house and kitchen were perfect for our needs and was clean and fully stocked. Also, the food on the island is mind blowing! Waking up to the pacific and the quietness was exquisite. Nearby there is Waipio Valley which was a fantastic hike down with incredible lush greenery - perfect for my photography needs. The nearby town of Honoka'a is great as well, the people there are incredibly kind. I met Marcus, the caretaker on the property, when I had a question about the internet connection (which worked very well and was reliable other than a minor dropout). He was a great guy and we chatted for some time about Hawaii and traveling. He was also kind enough to notify me that we left something at the house so I'm very grateful - great guy! Marcel, the owner, was also very accommodating when I felt a bit ill towards the end of our 5 day trip and let us stay a bit past checkout time - that was very kind of him, thanks Marcel!
All in all, we truly miss Hawaii and this incredible property we stayed at. It was definitely one of the most memorable trips I've ever had. I'm looking forward to staying there again some time in the future! I highly recommend it, you will love it!"

"We wanted to try staying somewhere inland for the first time and we loved it. The cottage was comfortable and we loved feeding the pig. Such a lovely place. We walked a short distance up the road and visited the Hawaiian Vanilla Company (great vanilla shakes). We went to Honoka'a several times. Such a darling town. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. My husband and I loved it."
