"A house with a best view! We loved the view and privacy that we didn't want to leave this home to explore the island. This home has pretty much everything you need for a relaxing time-off. We hiked down to Waipio valley and walking back home was fun. It was amazing to know that we lived for 12 days on top of Waipio valley cliff!! The owner Richard is very kind and prompt in communication. Because its private, you're further away from other attractions. So it requires at least 1 hour to 3:30 hours to go anywhere else in the island. Because of the distance, we skipped some of the attractions. So, I will not call this location as central in the island, but I'll say it will be the private home with best view and lots of privacy, well it comes with a price :) We loved feeding to the calves the owner had in the property. It was so lovely! In terms of kitchen, its well stocked with most of the basic spices and left-over items from previous guests. It does not have a dishwasher, if it may be a concern for anyone. The only negative comment, I could think was the geckos. But, its expected in the tropical though. Overall, we had best time in our first ever trip in Big Island. We will be back soon!"

"We wanted to try staying somewhere inland for the first time and we loved it. The cottage was comfortable and we loved feeding the pig. Such a lovely place. We walked a short distance up the road and visited the Hawaiian Vanilla Company (great vanilla shakes). We went to Honoka'a several times. Such a darling town. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. My husband and I loved it."

"Great view of the full moon! Fun to eat breakfast of local bananas and fresh pineapple and local
coffee with rising mist of the ocean in full view over the hill. Darren, the caretaker, was very
helpful and shared macademia nuts, sugar cane and bananas with us. Appreciated washer, dryer and
gas stove. Hand washed dishes, so didn't use dish washer. Comfortable beds and puffy covers. Warm
showers. Appreciated focus on off grid sustainability. Snorkles beach chairs, and cooler available."

"The entrance to this beautifully stunning property is just the precursor to the spectacular views that await from just behind the front doors. Once inside the home your breath will be taken away and your eyes will open wide. Stunning from beginning to end, perfectly perched above the sacred Waipio Valley you are treated to the sounds of waves below and the sights of nearby waterfall that dive from the cliffs to meet the ocean. Every day at this home brought new and exciting sights, sounds, and experiences; truly paradise.
Eileen is a gracious and attentive host who has maintained this tranquil property meticulously! I have been a frequent guest of VRBO properties all over the world for several years and I can say without exception THIS is the finest property and vacation experience I have had to date.
