"It's hard to add any more details as the other reviews describe it very well. So I'll just tell you that every time I looked up from reading or cooking or relaxing on the bed, the view took my breath away. This is a place to sink into, to allow yourself the time to feel the rhythm of life there. We stayed in 4 different VRBO homes on the Big Island, all beautiful, and most with more amenities, but this is the one that I will come back to.
We took a tour of the Waipio Valley just minutes from the house, and loved it. Next time we will have the tour drop us off and spend more time there (the tour from the art gallery nearby will drop you off and then pick you up on one of their later tours).
Thank you Kristan for sharing this amazing home on VRBO!"

"This was our Bi-annual family vacation, where I get all my grown children from around the states, all together for quality time! The reason I chose this property, was from all the great reviews & pictures!!
It is exactly as the reviewers have stated in previous reviews!! It is just perfect in every way!! & what a great location !!
The owner herself is such a delight & gracious host!!"

"My wife and I spend the first 3 nights of our honeymoon here and it was the perfect way to start. The location is great! It's far enough off the beaten path that we had plenty of privacy and quiet but also in a great location for exploring so much of the island. We didn't spend much time at the house because we were out exploring but the time we did spend was exactly what we wanted. The views are amazing and the cottage and property are very well kept. We loved picking fresh fruit from the orchard in the morning for our breakfast and Paula and Dan were great hosts. If you're into hiking there's no better place than Waipio Valley and you can walk there from your front door. We did this on our first full day and were lucky enough to see wild horses on the beach. It was an amazing trip from start to finish!"

"A house with a best view! We loved the view and privacy that we didn't want to leave this home to explore the island. This home has pretty much everything you need for a relaxing time-off. We hiked down to Waipio valley and walking back home was fun. It was amazing to know that we lived for 12 days on top of Waipio valley cliff!! The owner Richard is very kind and prompt in communication. Because its private, you're further away from other attractions. So it requires at least 1 hour to 3:30 hours to go anywhere else in the island. Because of the distance, we skipped some of the attractions. So, I will not call this location as central in the island, but I'll say it will be the private home with best view and lots of privacy, well it comes with a price :) We loved feeding to the calves the owner had in the property. It was so lovely! In terms of kitchen, its well stocked with most of the basic spices and left-over items from previous guests. It does not have a dishwasher, if it may be a concern for anyone. The only negative comment, I could think was the geckos. But, its expected in the tropical though. Overall, we had best time in our first ever trip in Big Island. We will be back soon!"
