"We enjoyed the condo. It was taking care of very well. Fully equiped. We would recommednd this property to family and to friends. We loved shopping in downtown Hilo from the farmers market, eating at restaurants and all the shops."

  • WOW

"We loved everything about that place. The owner is awesome and everything was ready when we arrived. It's so quiet. You'll have to drive to get everywhere, but it seems to be the case whenever you live in Big Island. Rent this place. You really should. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome."

  • Great place to get away.

"This is a very pleasant place to spend time. The waves crashing on the rocks are soothing and lull you to sleep. The frogs and other wild life are loud at night but you get used to it. The high speed internet was a pleasant surprise. The house has everything you need except air conditioning. There are a lot of places in Hawaii that don't have AC, we got used to it after a couple days. There is usually a light to moderate breeze that is very nice. We found the heart in the lava flow in the back yard as well as the horse's head. I challenge you to find it during your stay. I would recommend this house for anyone that wants to live like a local. We loved it."

  • Akaka Falls VRBO

"This is a great home to stay at if you're attending Merrie Monarch. It's 15-20 minutes to Hilo town (or Imiloa for the cultural events that go on there) and just another 5-10 minutes to the Edith Kanakaole Stadium and the wonderful craft fairs throughout town and the hotels. The oceanview from the lanai is so beautiful regardless of whether it rains or not you can't help but absorb all the different moods that weather changes reflect; not to say the least about the early morning sunrise off the ocean and the various cloud formations that help your imagination run rampant. The house was comfortable for four adults and one keiki. We also took up the studio next door with a last minute adult add-on. Both homes were just nice and comfortable. Being near Aka ka Falls in the early morning hours as the sun begins to rise you catch the rain the comes down from the mountains...quite refreshing . All in all it was a great place to stay and we all had a wonderful time."
