"We came up to the Big Island for a baseball Tournament and Joyce was so helpful about her rental. I called other rentals but wouldn't allow us to have 10 people in there homes. When I talked to Joyce I explained my situation and she was very understandable. When we got to the house we were amazed it was so beautiful and roomy. The only down fall was it was hot but the house has a lot of windows. We talked to the neighbors and they said yes the weather has been very hot the last couple of weeks so we can't control the weather. Our overall stay was wonderful and the kitchen area is amazing lots of room for cooking and not having to eat out every day."

"Having never been on the Big Island, it was not easy choosing the perfect home and location for my family of 5. After having spent 3 weeks in this house my family and I agree I could not have chosen a better location or a better house.
This is an absolutely beautiful house and had everything we needed.
We loved visiting the beautiful falls just minutes away.
We loved having a store in Papaaloa to buy milk bread and delicious freshly baked pizza. We visited Waipio valley, pololu valley and Havi to see the Kings statue and have the best Shave ice in the island.
We loved driving through Waimea to the Honokaa Coast to So many beautiful beaches to spend the day boogie boarding, snorkelling and making sand castles. Horse back riding and great restaurant in Waimea were great.
Tex Drive in has amazing Malasadas and it's just a short drive away. :)
The house was spacious , very clean and had everything we needed. When we come back in a few years, we all would love to stay here again!!!
Thanks so much for sharing your home with us !"

"Sea Watch is a beautifully designed, artfully decorated little jewel on the edge of the Pacific. It is clean and well maintained. It is open, with wonderful views of the ocean from every room, and the sound of the surf in the background. The lanai is a perfect place to watch the ocean. The house is situated in an inlet on the coast south of Hilo. Waves crash against the lava cliffs, and one can look down the coast to either side of the house at the tropical vegetation and the constantly changing weather.
The owner, Sam, lives next door and is friendly but unobtrusive. As others have noted, she is attentive to every need and detail. The neighborhood is quiet, with vacation homes (many quite beautiful). For quiet and privacy it is hard to beat, but one must drive a bit to get to the nearest towns.
The weather is constantly changing, from humid and rainy to evening breezes that are cool and soothing. Rain storms don't last longer than an hour or so, and generally come at night (another soothing sound!). And always the sound of tropical birdsong.
All in all a lovely place to spend time, perfect to just get away and be quiet, or a good temporary home from which to explore."
