"We spent here 10 nights/days at the condo around New Years Eve. The condo was the perfect accomodation related to our planned activities around the volcano. Everything at the condo was as described, the cleaning and all the ammenities fulfilled our expectations. The pool was closed due to renovations works at the backside of the building but this was not really an issue to us. Hopefully we will return soon.
Thanks and best regards from Austria!"

"Sea Watch is a beautifully designed, artfully decorated little jewel on the edge of the Pacific. It is clean and well maintained. It is open, with wonderful views of the ocean from every room, and the sound of the surf in the background. The lanai is a perfect place to watch the ocean. The house is situated in an inlet on the coast south of Hilo. Waves crash against the lava cliffs, and one can look down the coast to either side of the house at the tropical vegetation and the constantly changing weather.
The owner, Sam, lives next door and is friendly but unobtrusive. As others have noted, she is attentive to every need and detail. The neighborhood is quiet, with vacation homes (many quite beautiful). For quiet and privacy it is hard to beat, but one must drive a bit to get to the nearest towns.
The weather is constantly changing, from humid and rainy to evening breezes that are cool and soothing. Rain storms don't last longer than an hour or so, and generally come at night (another soothing sound!). And always the sound of tropical birdsong.
All in all a lovely place to spend time, perfect to just get away and be quiet, or a good temporary home from which to explore."

"This is our second time staying at Hulili Farms. The first was two years ago, and it was paradise. Yet, I'll admit, when I was booking our second trip to Hilo, I looked at other properties in the area just to see what else was out there. I found plenty of great places in this area, but nothing and I mean nothing compared to what I knew was waiting for me at Hulili farms. Sheree's banana bread alone puts this property above all others. But past the bread, the property offers amenities that the other's didn't. Many places looked like they were furnished with someones old cast offs, but here the cottage is comfortable and homey with a well stocked kitchen. And nothing beats sleeping out on the hanging bed and listening to the rain. The location is perfect. 20 minutes into town for what ever you need, and then back to privacy. The drive along the Hakalau coast is breathtaking. You're basically in a rain forest. It also gives easy access to the rest of the island. We even went to the southern most tip of the island and it didn't feel far. Sheree has this wonderful knack of being around when you need her yet you would never really know someone else is living on the property. Beautiful views of the ocean and access to the water is just down the hill. For our next trip, I'm going to save myself the time of exploring other options and just book Hulili farms."

"Ben and Vicky are wonderful hosts. This is a wonderful house and beautiful property. They are extremely helpful and friendly. This is only a 10-15 minute drive from town. I highly recommend staying here!"
