  • Gorgeous view!

"This is a very comfortable house. Kitchen was clean and well equipped. View is to die for, especially in whale season. The bedrooms and baths are clean and well appointed. Two master suites, plus two other bedrooms. One of the masters is on the ground floor. Quite a few gnats had died in the window sills (a common Hilo issue), but no other bugs were seen. The location is very convenient to Hilo town. The area is quiet and the house feels private even though it's in a neighborhood. I highly recommend this location."

  • A privilege to stay here!

"We had a blast on our trip to the big island! What a wonderful place to finally be able to see and experience. Our stay at this house was better than we were expecting. The pictures didn't seem to do justice and noticed that right when we stepped onto the property. The porches were our favorite part. Being on a 5 hour difference we woke up and watched the sunrise every morning over the Hilo bay with Kona coffee and fresh fruit. It was amazing! This house without a doubt has the best location on the bay! Hands down. We enjoyed walking to the farmers market and picking up fresh food and gifts and eating at the many awesome cafes. Everything we ate in Hilo was top notch! It really felt like a privilege to stay at this house with all the history and getting the honor to meet Pudding!! She was a highlight of our trip. She was so nice to us. We traveled for 15 hours and showed up at the house and she greeted us with soup, beer and some amazing stories. If and when we come back we will schedule our trip dates around the availability of this house. Much love to the family for opening up their house to us! MAHALO!!"

  • Great Condo To Rent!

"This was the perfect and most affordable fully furnished place we could find in a short time. It was comfortable and clean. Lots of good seating in the living room, great lighting throughout, and very fast internet. There were lots of storage space in the bedroom. Everything was available there that we needed, especially in the kitchen. It was fully stocked with every kitchen utensil that you may think you need.Things looked new and again clean! It was also nice they provided quarters for the laundry as well. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Hilo! Thank you!"

  • We Love, love, love the Pepeekeo house

"How do you describe Paradise on Earth? We were a party of six adults who thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house, which felt like “home”, for two weeks. Everything we needed was already there; all we had to do was go grocery shopping. The atmosphere was perfect, from the breathtaking sunrises visible from all rooms of the house, to relaxing by the pool in the beautiful landscaped backyard or reading a book on the screened in lanai that overlooks the sea in the afternoons, to falling asleep to the music of the coqui frogs and the rain at night. (There has been a sofa added to the living room, which made it nice for everyone to gather in the evenings.) The Location is perfect to visit Akaka Falls, Mauna Kea, the Volcanoes or all the little beaches we found while exploring the coastline. We fell in love with the people on the Hilo side of the Island, they were warm and welcoming, much more so than on the Kona side of the Island. Don't miss: Kens Pancake House in Hilo (Sumo!) Richardson's black sand beach on Kamehameha St. Each time we went there, we would find several large sea turtles resting in the crystal clear pools. The Farmer's Market in Hilo on Wednesday and Saturday has great local fruits, vegetables and souvenirs which help to support the local people and the community. If mosquito’s love you, like they love me, there is a lady selling “Lavender insect repellent” by Pelindaba, under the tents. It works and smells nice! You can get very inexpensive snorkel gear and water shoes at Wal-Mart. You will want at least the shoes or you will cut your feet up on the volcanic rocks. (We left ours for the next guests) Last, but most definitely not least, is the property manager Randall. Randall was very warm and attentive without being intrusive. He had the house in perfect welcoming condition and offered suggestions for things to do on the rainy days. I have already recommended this home away from home to our family and friends We've only been gone four days, and I am already “Home sick”. We will most definitely be back. Aloha.....Mahalo Nui Loa"
