  • Hilo house

"Great home and the owner very happy to assist with reservations. The wrap around porch was very comfortable to sit on even in the rain. Great view of the bay. Would defiinetly consider renting again."

  • Big hearts and SUPER rental!

"Our family of 4 came with Grandparents and had a terrific time here. The rental is great and the pool too! The two floors make it like two rentals in one. Very handy to have the space (and blow up beds to use if wanted). The home was comfortable, clean, and Jack and Tonya were quick in responding to emails and questions. A Grandparent was sick and Tonya even brought over some soup! It was also great to have a Master bedroom on the lower level (with a shower and tub) along with everything else and all the amenities. Big hearts and we highly recommend this beautiful home. We went out to Pahoa (saw the lava that stopped at the transfer station). Enjoyed jogging in the neighborhood and seeing the sights. Volcano, Hilo (Tsunami museum and Lyman museum), Mauna Loa Mac Nuts, South Point, Buzz's Honey and Parrots, & PunaLuu for bread, cookies & ice cream. We put on a LOT of miles on our rental car! Always nice to come home to the rental and pool!"

  • A slice of country

"My husband and I spent 4 days here with our 2 teenage daughters while on springbreak. We had one of the studios with 3 beds and it worked out great... plenty of room. The experience couldn't be more different from the conventional hotel. Its a large property surrounded by field and farmland. Early mornings were spent drinking coffee on the porch listening to birds while overlooking the ocean. We made hot breakfast everymorning and ate on the porch before heading out for the day. The kitchenette is adequate for basic food prep. Our hosts, Vicki and Ben are a very warm and personable couple who shared knowledge, stories and fruit. There was a goodie basket in our room on arrival and fresh flowers in a vase on the kitchen table. The room and property is very clean and well kept and we were able to take walks along the private road...Great view of Muana Kea covered in snow! The house is well located on the east side of the island to use for a jumping off point to visit Hilo and below (Volcano NP, etc) and also Honokaa & Waipio Valley. We stayed at three locations during our visit to the big island and this was our favorite by far. Definitely we will return! Thank you Vicki and Ben :-)"

  • We will return for sure!

"We spent here 10 nights/days at the condo around New Years Eve. The condo was the perfect accomodation related to our planned activities around the volcano. Everything at the condo was as described, the cleaning and all the ammenities fulfilled our expectations. The pool was closed due to renovations works at the backside of the building but this was not really an issue to us. Hopefully we will return soon. Thanks and best regards from Austria!"
