  • Home away from home

"This is Hawaii! I wanted to tell everyone we met during our trip where we were staying. The house was amazing and the rich history was the cherry on top. I would walk through the house just fascinated with all the pictures and wished they could talk and tell me the stories. The house is so well stocked I should have taken inventory before shopping. I packed my own beach towels but those were provided as well. You had everything a visitor could possibly need. The location was so close to town. We would walk into town for an ice cream or something quick. We cooked or grilled all our meals and ate on the beautiful porch. My children played in the yard after our day at the beach. We played many card games on the porch while we watched the ships, kayaks and boats in the bay. Work up every morning for the Hawaiian sunrise. Highly recommend your house to anyone planning a trip to Hilo. Cannot wait to come back."

  • Hilo Hideaway

"Donna was very understanding when I got the dates mixed up and arrived a day early. We spent 5 days at the condo and found it very satisfactory. The condo allows cross ventilation by opening windows and we appreciated the breeze. We only needed the one bedroom and really enjoyed that view and being able to hear the waves at night. Also, Donna told us about using the nearby secluded local road (Nene) for our morning walks to Richardson Beach Park. We used Hilo as a base for Volcano and Puna. We'd stay again."

  • A slice of paradise

"We stayed at Iki Honu for 7 nights, what a wonderful place! We stayed on the Kona side of the island for 7 nights also, two very different experiences. The house was everything that we could have wanted and more. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We loved the sound of the coqui frogs at night, at first we thought it was birds! Like the other reviews, stop at the market on the way in, cause its a little drive to town. We enjoyed having the bbq and the hot tub at night after a long day was amazing. We would love to come back some day and stay again. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of paradise with us!"

  • Miss it already!

"My first stay on the "Hilo side" of the Big Island and I couldn't have picked a better spot! The views were incredible and the nights dark and quiet - you can hear the coqui frogs! The view from the lanai is amazing - I could have spent my entire time on the farm, but if you want more, Hilo is only 20 minutes away. Sheree was lovely to work with - available if you needed something, but respectful of your privacy. I had 10 days of a private, peaceful getaway and will most definitely be returning. My friend enjoyed the one-hole golf course as well - no greens fees!"
