"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house that is right in the heart of Hilo. We were amazed at how quiet it was because we were just a few minutes from downtown on a fairly busy street. Amazed that we didn't need the air conditioning, open windows provided wonderful cross breeze. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this is the best stocked kitchen we have seen to date. Absolutely everything we needed was at our finger tips. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. We would like to see just a few more soaps and paper products supplied, otherwise it was perfect. Any questions or issues were addressed right away. would recommend this house to everyone and will most likely try to rent it again on our next trek to the Big Island."

"Sea Watch is a beautifully designed, artfully decorated little jewel on the edge of the Pacific. It is clean and well maintained. It is open, with wonderful views of the ocean from every room, and the sound of the surf in the background. The lanai is a perfect place to watch the ocean. The house is situated in an inlet on the coast south of Hilo. Waves crash against the lava cliffs, and one can look down the coast to either side of the house at the tropical vegetation and the constantly changing weather.
The owner, Sam, lives next door and is friendly but unobtrusive. As others have noted, she is attentive to every need and detail. The neighborhood is quiet, with vacation homes (many quite beautiful). For quiet and privacy it is hard to beat, but one must drive a bit to get to the nearest towns.
The weather is constantly changing, from humid and rainy to evening breezes that are cool and soothing. Rain storms don't last longer than an hour or so, and generally come at night (another soothing sound!). And always the sound of tropical birdsong.
All in all a lovely place to spend time, perfect to just get away and be quiet, or a good temporary home from which to explore."

"Donna was very understanding when I got the dates mixed up and arrived a day early. We spent 5 days at the condo and found it very satisfactory. The condo allows cross ventilation by opening windows and we appreciated the breeze. We only needed the one bedroom and really enjoyed that view and being able to hear the waves at night. Also, Donna told us about using the nearby secluded local road (Nene) for our morning walks to Richardson Beach Park. We used Hilo as a base for Volcano and Puna. We'd stay again."

"We enjoyed our stay here. We had our three grandkids (16, 12, 9) and the sleeping arrangements worked out well. We were even serenaded at nights by birds and frogs. The house is a little further out from Hilo, but perfect for visiting town and the volcano. It was well maintained and clean. I would recommend this home for anyone."
