  • Like Living in Eden

"Rarely will you find a place as lovely, unique and memorable as this. The cottage is immaculate, designed and built with loving care (including the use of local woods in the kitchen), and decorated with a comforting serenity. Given the cool evenings, the soaking/spa tub was a welcome delight after a night of volcano viewing. Anne and David have thought of every detail...including the bubble bath! Dinner on the terrace was a delight...and the stars,,,oh my! The gardens are beyond spectacular! Do have Anne give you a tour. Such a place of peace, calm and comfort...with the black sand beaches and volcanoes just a short drive away. Amazing!"

  • Great location.

"Lovely condo, excellent location for a few days as a base of operations to explore the south end of the big island. 25 miles from South Point and green sand beaches, 25 miles from Volcanoes national park and right on Punalu'u black sand beach. Beautiful views off the lanai of the golf course and the ocean. Breakfast on the lanai with visits by brightly colored tropical birds each morning, great way to start your day. You can't beat this for the price. The only negative would be the pest control, the giant spider in the kitchen when we arrived and a little brown gecko (we named him Edgar) who came to watch TV with us each night in the living room. They did come and spray the day we were leaving so hopefully that took care of the spider, but hey, it's the tropics you've got to expect SOME houseguests."

  • Spacious house in a quiet area

"This house is in a little neighborhood about 40 minutes from the National Park. There is so much room that, while we had 3, we were thinking we could have added another family and been comfortable. There are a number of activities within minutes (South Point, coffee mill, lava tube, etc.) If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is it."

  • Perfect for us

"We felt this was exactly what we saw in the pictures inside and out. Loved the sunrises from the lanai, and was a good home away from home to kick off and unwind before and after our many hiking and snorkeling adventures up both the east and west side of the island. We are a family of four and it gave us some space to spread out and fun places to hang together."
