"Reading the reviews of Aina Lani before we left on our trip, my partner and I wondered, “Could this cottage really be as outstanding as all of the reviews say?” Within minutes of our arrival, we knew even the most outstanding reviews could not capture the beauty of this island paradise.
Nestled in to the gorgeous Wood Valley, this secluded cabin has everything we were looking for during our stay on the Big Island: a tranquil setting, a well-stocked kitchen, and easy access to Volcanoes National Park as well as many outstanding day trips (including Green Sand Beach, secluded black sand beaches, and unique snorkeling spots). This beautifully constructed and furnished cottage (combined with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had the pleasure of sleeping on) provided the perfect home base for our vacation.
But perhaps the most memorable aspect of our stay was our lovely hosts. Anne and David clearly take pride in this cottage. As many reviewers have already commented, Anne and David were always available to answer questions (both before and during our stay), but they also gave us plenty of privacy. Their passion for the Big Island is infectious.
Every evening we looked forward to returning to Aina Lani to relax at the end of our days of Big Island adventures."

"We were looking for a home away from home and we found it on this 7 acres! Its not all fancy like a resort, but very homey. We enjoyed the grounds a lot! As a family used to country living, this was the perfect place for us! Every convenience was provided in the home. As long as you don't mind driving a bit, this place is literally middle distance from the two sides of the island. Tropical Hilo or Sunny Kona! I love this area of the Big Island the most because it is so green and remote!"

"It is hard to use words to describe this place. Keeping it short: beautiful, spiritual, peaceful, harmonious, natural, enriching, unforgettable.
Our stay was very short but we will definitely be back. The house is lovely. The power setup is more than adequate, easy to use, and makes a human feel a little less impactful. Which in the context of a place like Hawaii really hits home.
Visit the Big Island, stay here, have the local coffee, visit Volcano and the South Point. You will never forget it."

"This was a great property. My wife and I stayed here 4 days with our boys 9 and 12. The house had everything we needed, was clean and in good shape. In particular, the kitchen was incredibly well stocked with every little small appliance you could want. The kids enjoyed the pool and we made use of the outdoor grill. Liz, the property manager, was nice, local and available for questions. We left an item there that she was nice enough to box up and ship back to us. The payment requirement through wire transfer was unique, but worked out without issue."
