  • The PERFECT place to get away from the daily grind!!

"From start to finish, Hale Aloha Aina absolutely perfect. The cottage was beautifully decorated, and we honestly felt at home as soon as we walked in. There was so much detail everywhere, inside and outside the cottage, and every time I moved from room to room I noticed different artistic decor I hadn't noticed before. There was plenty of space for all the things my fiancé and I had packed for our 10 day stay on the island, and the kitchen was full of every item we needed to make meals AND store them-- the Tupperware was an extremely helpful detail we hadn't even thought about until we needed to use some! I can also not say enough about the cleanliness of the cottage. It really felt like we were the first people to have ever stayed there-- it was THAT clean! The area outside the cottage was equally maintained. There had been a storm in the days preceding our arrival, and although it was evident along the road to get to the cottage, the yard area was seemingly untouched! It was also so secluded and peaceful that we had a little trouble leaving the property on our first day there! We did some exploring and both agreed that the limes we found were the freshest and tastiest limes we had ever eaten. I can also not stress enough how amazing Missy and Tom were as hosts. We arrived to the Big Island in the evening and had some difficulty finding the cottage in the dark. Even with the time difference, Missy and Tom were extremely helpful in getting us there, giving us extra directions and doing their best to make sure we made it safe and sound! The cottage, in the daytime, is really easy to find, so I would definitely take Missy's suggestion to new visitors to arrive when it's still light out. It's a beautiful drive in, and I recommend to anyone staying there to start your day off with a run or walk out to the Temple and back-- there are so many beautiful things you miss in a car! (For reference, it's about 2 miles from the property to the temple.) Our overall experience at Hale Aloha Aina definitely can't be beat, and I'll absolutely stay there again the next time I'm on the Big Island!"

  • Wish we were there

"We stayed in this condo several times and were thoroughly satisfied every time. The unit was clean, well maintained and well furnished. it made for a wonderfully relaxing vacation in a beautiful location. Places to visit are within easy reach, hiking places are nearby, and of course the gorgeous black beaches are unique and beautiful. We would return again in a minute if circumstances allowed."

  • Beautiful condo

"I would highly recommend this condo to anyone who would want to stay on the big island, especially if they wanted to visit Volcanos national park. The amenities were fantastic, the hot tub, the pool and the golf course were all very nice. The unit itself is updated and has all the modern conveniences. The owners left several things such as beach towels, tour guides/books and a boogie board that made our stay that much nicer. The condo is very clean, the bed is comfortable and the view and lanai were awesome."

  • Aaaahhh...Tranquility Actualized

"Upon our arrival late Christmas night, we were greeted by a celestial show of stars before we even made one step inside the house. At that point, we felt safe to say that our trip was destined to be a success. The pictures of the home do not depict the interior's size. The master bedroom was huge with large picture windows and screens which we opened to enjoy the ocean's breeze. From the porch we could spy the most southern point in the U.S. Our location was advantageous in visiting both sides of the Big Island. We were able to leisurely tour and hike portions of Volcano National Park which wasn't too far away. We visited the black and green beaches of the area and even witnessed a large turtle resting on the sand. We contacted the owners several times and they were more than helpful to direct us to the beach below the house- kind of a hike, but we endured. We do extensive research on vacation homes we rent and were well satisfied in selecting this house as our base for our Big Island adventures. If you thrive in a busy, noisy locale, you might consider somewhere else. However, if you like solitude, no sirens, no barking dogs, no loud trucks, no hot rod cars, or rowdy neighbors, then you have found the right location. We don't think you will regret it."
