  • Loved It!

"My family (4) really enjoyed our stay here. It was exactly like the pictures. It really helped that the owner had beach items for us to use. Clean, quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend going on the Snorkeling with the Manta Rays adventure with Kona Ocean Adventures. It was a life changing experience. I will definately stay here again!!!"

  • Wonderful holiday week

"My family enjoyed a wonderful week in this villa at Mauna Lani. The condo has every convenience, with access to a pool and exercise facility just across the street. We used the beach club almost daily--best snorkeling in the area with convenient on-site equipment rentals. Bennett was quite helpful with recommendations during our stay and responded very promptly when we called with a question. A lovely villa in a beautiful resort area."

  • Great Place to Stay! Quiet - Clean - Relaxing

"This place is great! It's a comfortable home away from home. We had a group of 4 adults and 2 young children and it worked perfectly for us. The unit has 3 full bathrooms. Each of the upstairs rooms has it's own private full bath. The kitchen was well appointed with the basics one would need to cook meals. There is a large assortment of beach items (boards, towels, sand castle making toys). There are even small coolers in the kitchen you can use to take food to the beach. There are a lot of rules for the HOA, but I saw that kind of as a positive. Especially for a group of people with young kids (3yr and 7 mo). The last thing you want when you come to Hawaii to relax is the guys next to you partying out the night. The condo was very quiet - we never heard the next door unit. There are rules for smoking, but I don't smoke and don't want to smell it, so I loved the smoking ban on the premises. And the BBQ's are all in a community BBQ area near the pool (so the smoke doesn't fill the units above / fire hazard). As a prior review states, they are not the best functioning. But there are a few that worked okay and you make friends with the people waiting to cook. The Fairway Villas are very close to a couple shopping areas. You can walk over and get a meal, groceries, or even a Starbucks coffee if you so desire. If you want, you can even walk to the Marriott for their Sunset Luau, take full advantage of the open bar, then walk (or stagger) home. [this is not a review of the luau - we didn't go because it rained the day we had it scheduled, but we fully planned on walking because it was so close]. And lastly, your contact for this unit, Carole, was very professional and helpful in scheduling and setup, answering all our questions and getting us some baby items. When we arrived the highchair and pack-and-play were already setup, a box of choc covered macadamia nuts, salted mac nuts, and a bag of kona coffee on the counter, along with a welcome note. We never had to contact her during our stay as we had no problems with the unit, but I'm sure she would have been just as helpful during our stay as she was before. Overall we were very happy with our stay and will keep this place in mind for future visits to Hawaii."

  • Great location and wonderful rental cottage

"My husband and I were on the island for 2 weeks for work, and knew that we wanted to be up in the Waimea area. This area has much natural beauty, and a very pleasant climate. We found some beautiful hiking nearby, and could see the amazing stars at night. It was just a short trip down to the beach if that was in the plans. We were pleased to find Marie's rental cottage. It is comfortable, private and peaceful. Marie was very helpful and provided us with everything we needed for our stay. I would recommend this as a long term rental to anyone who wants a great home base for their time on the Big Island. Great place, great hostess, great location!!"
