  • Wonderful stay

"Unit was clean and nicely appointed, very quiet and secure. Pool is PERFECT for toddlers and smaller children, the bar/restaurant at the club was convenient, and the staff were extremely friendly. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!"

  • Wonderful Place to Stay

"My husband and I, with 7 of our friends, spent two weeks at the Hawi Plantation House, and had the place all to ourselves. I had wanted to stay here for quite some time since I have a love of older historic homes and I love the village of Hawi. It was everything I had hoped it would be. The house was roomy and charming. The bedrooms were very comfortable, with lots of space. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for any meals we prepared, as well as having a charcoal grill that we used often. While most of the bathrooms were older styled, they were charming and very clean. There was also bathrooms for each person/couple as well as 2 1/2 baths and a laundry. The house was just a block away from restaurants and shops and 5 minutes from a small uncrowded beach park. Close by are zipline, horseback riding, & Polulu Valley and more. The pool, pool house and outdoor shower were a huge hit with all of us. There was a game room and exercise room, but none of us spent anytime in them. The house is right in town, but it was very quiet and felt very secluded with all the trees and plants. Breakfast was provided the first morning with lots of fresh fruits, yogurts, bagels & cereals. But since we were the only ones in the house for two weeks, we enjoyed them for several days. Desiree & Debbie made us feel very welcome, but also gave us our privacy. When a hurricane threatened to possibly cancel our flights home, they offered to let us stay at the house until we knew about our flight status and if need be, stay at the house until our flights were rescheduled. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it) the storm did not affect our travel plans. The downside to staying at the Hawi Plantation house would have to be that it is a bit of a drive to sights around the island, as it is just about as far north on the island as you can get. But the location was one of the reasons we chose the house. I would recommend staying here for anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing stay away from the crowds. And I'm hoping that we will be back soon."

  • Wonderful Home on the Ocean in Puako

"We have stayed at the Blue Dragon Beach Bungalow several times over the past 6 years and highly recommend it! The photos on the website say it all. You can relax under the shade trees on the lounge chairs and look out at the beautiful ocean and the turtles sunning themselves. The beach, in front of the house, is a rocky beach which is not good for children. Hapuna Beach is 3 minutes away by car. Hapuna is a very large beautiful sandy beach. The neighborhood is very quiet. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and utensils. Air conditioning in bedrooms works very well."

  • Truely a home away from home

"Excellent location in a lovely gated community with access to beautiful beaches and amenities. It has been our home away from home during our brief but unforgettable visit of TBI. Well kept home with tasteful furnishing and thoughtful owner. We arrived right on the heel of Hurricane Iselle, the owner was so considerate that she went out and bought some supplies for us prior to our arrival so we would be able to use in case the store shelves were empty after the Hurricane. If you plan to visit TBI and set your base in North Kohala coast, put this rental on your short list. You won't regret it."
