  • Beautifully maintained place in great neighborhood

"Wow! This is definitely the best equipped rental we have stayed in. There is only one unit down below and most of the unit is above garages so it is really quiet. The fixtures and furniture appear very new and up to date and are quite comfortable. I have never seen a kitchen so well stocked. Also loved having all the towels (both bath and beach), the folding chairs, boogie boards, etc. Laundry was downstairs and full sized machines were great. Even detergent was supplied. Used the backpack provided for our trips to the beach, of which there are many close by. Puako is pretty rocky but it was fun hanging out with the sea turtles. It is a nice, quiet residential neighborhood. Loved beach 69 and thought snorkeling there was good too. Having the Hawaii Revealed guide book was really helpful and the owners also provided lots of useful information. We were a bit hot being upstairs and not used to island humidity. The fans were mostly effective but we did need the wall ac unit in the master bedroom at night, especially if we were out of the house all day with the windows closed. I don't know if this was typical weather or if it was unusually hot that week. One tip: do not try to "rescue" the geckos by hand to take them outside. My daughter tried to do this and got bitten. The lizards in Arizona don't seem to do this. Everything else about the neighborhood was very friendly!"

  • Wonderful accommodation

"We recently spent 7 days here and had a wonderful time. The condo is very well maintained, has very comfortable furnishings and is stocked with all the things you will need for a fun day at the beach. Because a car is required for a vacation in Waikoloa you will really appreciate having a garage to use during your stay as well. Also, the bikes, scooters and wagon came in very handy. We really enjoyed having the ground floor unit that opened up to a green space because it gave the kids a bit of area to play and run around that was away from the road. The pool is a short walk from the unit but there is also a parking lot at the facility if you aren't feeling up to the trek. It is a beautiful pool with a shallow end that provided many hours of enjoyment for the kids. The owner is very nice to deal with and quick to respond. The only suggestion is to pack a few dvd's if the adults or kids like to have a movie night. There are DVD players in the bedrooms as well as the main living room but no DVD's. We would definitely return to this unit and recommend it to others."

  • Just Perfect!

"This lovely home exceeded our expectations! They seem to have thought of everything. Boogie boards, bikes, pool and beach toys, beach chairs and umbrella, coolers, and tennis racquets in the garage. The kitchen was stocked with every gadget imaginable, and there were plenty of spices and condiments, too. Even plenty of cookbooks! The beds were very comfortable, and the sheets were to die for! The pool is just a short stroll away, and we spent time there every day. 4 FABULOUS beaches just a short drive away--A Bay, Beach 69, Hapuna Beach, and our favorite--Mauna Kea beach. I could go on and on. This place is paradise!"

  • Paradise with Family

"Just spent a wonderful week and a half on the beautiful Big Island. Home base was this comfortable condo. Centrally located on a beautiful golf course, the location was very convenient. Minutes to beaches and shopping on the coast, within walking distance to the Village Market for groceries; pool/grilling area is steps from the lanai. Since we were visiting kids and grandkids who live in Waikoloa, we had them over for dips in the pool when they got home from school every day. So much fun. Condo is fully equipped with anything you might need - beach chairs and towels, small coolers, a very nice kitchen and washer/dryer. Carol was great to work with and has a beautiful property. We're already thinking about our NEXT trip. By the way, the sunsets were amazing!"
