"We spent a fantastic week at Bill's condo. Bill was so very helpful, and responsive, and always available when needed. The whole resort is very well maintained and the condo is very clean and has everything you needed, even beach chairs, snorkel gear, and more! The beaches are very close, and we loved exploring beaches that are difficult to get to, so we had them to ourselves. We went on many excursions but enjoyed also the tranquility of the resort and the nice lively shopping center close by. On our last day we enjoyed a beautiful sunset at a very close spot. We normally have stayed at the Hilton right be this spot for the past 5 years, and it was a nice change to stay in a condo. I highly recommend this place!"Guest: Tom Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 22, 2014View listing
"This place is great! It's a comfortable home away from home. We had a group of 4 adults and 2 young children and it worked perfectly for us. The unit has 3 full bathrooms. Each of the upstairs rooms has it's own private full bath. The kitchen was well appointed with the basics one would need to cook meals. There is a large assortment of beach items (boards, towels, sand castle making toys). There are even small coolers in the kitchen you can use to take food to the beach. There are a lot of rules for the HOA, but I saw that kind of as a positive. Especially for a group of people with young kids (3yr and 7 mo). The last thing you want when you come to Hawaii to relax is the guys next to you partying out the night. The condo was very quiet - we never heard the next door unit. There are rules for smoking, but I don't smoke and don't want to smell it, so I loved the smoking ban on the premises. And the BBQ's are all in a community BBQ area near the pool (so the smoke doesn't fill the units above / fire hazard). As a prior review states, they are not the best functioning. But there are a few that worked okay and you make friends with the people waiting to cook. The Fairway Villas are very close to a couple shopping areas. You can walk over and get a meal, groceries, or even a Starbucks coffee if you so desire. If you want, you can even walk to the Marriott for their Sunset Luau, take full advantage of the open bar, then walk (or stagger) home. [this is not a review of the luau - we didn't go because it rained the day we had it scheduled, but we fully planned on walking because it was so close]. And lastly, your contact for this unit, Carole, was very professional and helpful in scheduling and setup, answering all our questions and getting us some baby items. When we arrived the highchair and pack-and-play were already setup, a box of choc covered macadamia nuts, salted mac nuts, and a bag of kona coffee on the counter, along with a welcome note. We never had to contact her during our stay as we had no problems with the unit, but I'm sure she would have been just as helpful during our stay as she was before. Overall we were very happy with our stay and will keep this place in mind for future visits to Hawaii."Guest: Sean Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: February 4, 2014View listing
"Aloha Family, Don't want to leave - it was very restorative. We live in Kona and needed some country retreat. We enjoyed getting to know you and your family; eating at the market with you - food was fabulous; the outdoor shower was incredible! Loved the art and high end finishes - your thoughtfulness is seen in every inch to every corner in this hale. We will be back again! A Hui Ho! Adam and Michelle"Guest: Adam Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 12, 2014View listing
"We had a very relaxing stay. This cottage was very simple, clean, and sweet. The bed was very comfortable and the bath house was amazing. However, the kitchen could use a bit more space for preparing food. In the evenings and mornings we spent most of our time sitting out over the ocean looking at Maui and watching whales and birds. This alternative environment was also a plus since we could completely relax. There is a very nice coastal hike down at the end of the road where you can walk for miles. Also, thanks to Christa's recommendation we found some of the best fish plates on the island at Minnie's just down the road. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking for something simple and peaceful."Guest: Jennifer C. Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: January 19, 2014View listing
