"My husband and I have just finished a very romantic week staying in this beautiful cottage. We loved it. This is our third time staying in this area and just love it here. The cottage is very comfortable and just perfect for two. Don't be put off by the seemingly small and retro kitchen. It's perfectly functional. We cooked in it most days. Highly recommend Cafe Pesto in nearby Kawaihae for an amazing dinner and also recommend the dive shop there too. We can't wait to come back!"Guest: April and Rob Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 30, 2014View listing
"This is the third time we have rented Hale Maluhia and each time it becomes more difficult to leave! There is a comfort and privacy about this house which makes it supremely relaxing! What a wonderful way to start our day each morning with breakfast on the lanai with a glorious view of the coast! Not to mention sitting in the hot tub at night and counting shooting stars, what a fantastic night sky! Oh, and don't forget to watch the evening sunset, not to be missed! Not to mention that some of the very best beaches (snorkeling and swimming) are only a 5-10 minute drive away. This house is not new but it has everything you need for a wonderful home away from home. We will return, again and again, it is our home away from home. "This 3 bedroom condo was just what we were looking for. The location was perfect, the golf course beautiful and the beach club is awesome! They had just opened the beach club restaurant the week before we arrived - yummy food. The condo had almost everything we needed, was in a quiet location, the pool is beautiful (we didn't use it though - the beach was so inviting our entire stay). We had 6 guests in the unit, we used the bbq and the kitchen daily - nice to have space to put things away and not leave all over the counter. The fridge had an issue with the cooling fan that was fixed while we were there - thank you! Having the garage to put our car away was nice, we could leave our snorkel gear inside without worrying about it each night. There are four bikes (3 adult size and 1 child size) available with the unit and paddle boards (we didn't get these out). Nice to bike around the Manua Lani resort area. The beds were all very comfortable and lots of space to put your stuff away in the closets and dressers. Nice to have the washer and dryer to keep our stuff clean to wear a 2nd time."Guest: AlwaysHavingAGoodTime Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 30, 2014View listing
"My husband and I stayed here for 4 weeks and enjoyed it very much. The house is clean, spacious, nicely decorated, has a well stocked kitchen and pantry, lots of towels, and a couple of coolers to take a picnic lunch to the beach. The backyard is quiet large and good for kids to play in; there is a very nice lani that overlooks the ocean and the northwest side of the island. The house is in a very safe and quiet family oriented neighborhood, a couple of miles away from the Waikoloa Village shopping center and golf course. Waikoloa Village is about 6 miles up the hill from the main highway at an elevation of 1,000+ feet so it's a little cooler, especially when the trade winds blow. It's away from the crowds of the large hotels/resorts, yet close to several beaches, golf courses, shopping at the King's & Queen's shops, restaurants, a short jaunt into Waimea or Hilo, a couple of hours away from Volcano National Park. From the very start of our reservation process Jim was very easy to work with; he's very accommodating and helpful. He quickly responded to any questions or concerns we had before we arrived and during our stay. We had a request that he filled with no problem, which we very much appreciated him doing. This house is a keeper, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Jim and Devenie for allowing us to share your house. P.S. Your friends/neighbors Carol & Doug are awesome people!
