"This Puako updated and well furnished home was lovely for my husband our daughter and her boyfriend. Their bedroom was at opposite end of the house from ours. The house come with a well equipped kitchen as well as a generous supply of towels. Great ocean views with whales beyond and turtles and an eel just beyond the sea wall, wonderful lanai, comfy sofas, great TV, & outdoor shower. 2 Papayas met our every need. Only drawback: all doors are slatted for good airflow, but they do prevent privacy."

"We spent a week in Bonnie & Steve's condo celebrating our anniversary and were extremely happy. The condo was well-furnished with everything you need to have all the comforts of home, was very clean and quiet, had a great view of the mountains and sunrise each morning, and a fabulous pool and hot tub area. The pool was very long and we were able to swim laps. Also, you can easily walk out to the main road and walk two loops around for a near 6-mile walk. The restaurants and shops were only about a mile walk, or an easy drive if not wearing comfortable shoes. We really didn't want to leave! The condo decor was lovely, and when we return to the Big Island, we will definitely stay here! Oh, for the previous reviews talking about problems with the front door key, one solution is to never turn the key to the right. Just turn it to the left each time, and you will have no problems at all. The door self locks on the way out. The Tropics Ale House is literally just steps from the condo complex and has fabulous pizza and reasonable prices."

"Haena Hale is a clean, quiet and nicely decorated suite in a residential neighbourhood up in the hills of Waikoloa Village. It's centrally located to many attractions: twenty to thirty minutes away from the best beaches (Makalawena, Manini'owali, Hapuna and Mauna Kea Resort), Waimea town for their restaurants, farmer's markets and tourist attractions and a top Mauna Kea for their Stargazing program. It is also just ten minutes away from a grocery store and a couple of restaurants. I also like that is was just a little cooler in this area, a nice evening break from the heat. If you like to get away from all the tourists and have a mellow vacation then this place it what you are looking for."

"I can only add to the many positive comments I've read. This home is simply delightful! We spent nine nights for a family get-together (ages three to seventy-one). There seemed to be plenty of room for each of our different needs. There were activities, toys and equipment for all the age groups. While the highlight for the kids was swimming in the pool at night, we also enjoyed going to Mauna Kea for beach time each morning. We ate most of our meals at the house and found the kitchen to be very well stocked. All in all we felt very much at home and enjoyed everything about our experience."
