  • Wonderful Unit, Great Location

"My wife and daughter and I stayed here for a week in February 2015 and really enjoyed it. The unit was clean, well-furnished, and in like-new condition. A nice community pool and a fitness center are across the street. We really liked the location: from the deck you can enjoy a great view of the mountains and watch golfers teeing off at the 4th hole, the private beach club is a short drive away (best for snorkeling), Hapuna Beach and other great public beaches are about 10 minutes away (for boogie-boarding), and a nice shopping center (groceries and lots more) is nearby. Boogie boards, beach chairs, and snorkeling equipment were in good shape, and we used them regularly. Don was a very nice host, very easy to communicate with, his daughter provided useful info about car rentals, and his housekeeper graciously welcomed us to the unit and answered all of our questions before she left. We have recommended this unit to a few friends and are looking forward to staying there ourselves again soon."

  • The perfect winter getaway!!

"Our stay at the Mango House was nothing short of amazing. My wife and I were looking for an escape from city life and from the East coast winter cold, and this beautiful home provided just the break that we needed. As you arrive at the Mango House you immediately realize that you are in entering your own private slice of paradise. The house sits on a spacious lot full of tropical flora. The sights and sounds of the rain forest surround you. We especially enjoyed being lulled to sleep by the ocean surf, wildlife and the wind rustling the palm fronds at night. The house itself is tastefully decorated and very well appointed. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The den and kitchen are open and inviting allowing for a perfect environment for preparing dinner and relaxing. All the appliances were in perfect working condition. Our favorite feature by far of the Mango house were the lanais. The lanai on the first floor spans the entire perimeter of the house with comfortable lounges and tables. We had many a post-beach beverage on the downstairs porch. We also took full advantage of the grill on the first floor lanai. The upstairs lanai, while smaller provides the perfect spot to have a cup of coffee while watching the sun rise or to gaze at the plethora of stars at night. Shortly after arriving your will fall into the rhythm of 'island life.' Be sure to take advantage of the local fruit offerings in the neighborhood. You will find fruit stands at the end of driveways; most accepting payment via the honor method. Be sure to also stop by the Kohala Coffee Mill. It was truly an incredible experience. • Great Mauna Lani Townhome

"We were privileged to stay at this great townhome for 9 days. It was beautiful, clean and very well appointed. It was even nicer than the pictures! There was lots to do in the area - walking distance from the Shops at Mauna Lani (with free evening programs many nights), Mauna Kea and Hapuna beaches as well as access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club. The owners were extremely helpful in answering any questions we had and worked with us when some unforeseen circumstances came our way and delayed our trip. We would certainly recommend this property to others and will return to this property when we return to the Big Island."

  • Golf Course View at Mauna Lani

"My family of four really enjoyed our stay on the Big Island. This villa was very well set up for us -- we had plenty of room to spread out and the beds were very comfortable. The unit is extremely well equipped for cooking and also to head to the beach. We really appreciated the ample beach chairs, beach towels, toys, and games that we were able to use. We also enjoyed grilling on the lanai and enjoying the view. The concierge Bennet was very friendly and helpful. The villa is a good launching point for everything that the Big Island has to offer and is also a very short walk to a nice pool. The only disadvantage is that you have to drive to get to the beach club or pretty much anywhere in the Mauna Lani resort. But that's not a big deal as the best beach on the island is Hapuna, and you have to drive to get to that no matter where you are. Thanks to the owners for a great property."
