"We rented this house with another family for spring break. It was the perfect set up for 2 families! The kids loved the pool and hot tub and we played every sport imaginable on the grass.
Linens were very nice, appliances are new and kitchen is well appointed. We cant wait to come back!"

"My wife and I were here for a month. We have visited the Big Island a few times now, and this is the best place we have stayed to date. It is a ground floor condo in a quiet and well-maintained 15 year old gated development in the Uplands area above Hapuna and Mauna Kea resorts and beaches, about 40 minutes north of the Kona airport. Located at the north end of the development overlooking a golf course, the condo itself is clean, comfortable, and includes a large kitchen with top quality cookery, large living room and master bedroom, a smaller second bedroom, and a den area. It has an amazing, and completely unobstructed westerly view, and we spent many hours on the large lanai enjoying it. The owner is attentive and responsive. The owner dealt with a small maintenance problem promptly. Resort staff are always available but unobtrusive. A car is required as grocery shopping, farmers markets, sightseeing, and restaurants are at least 15 minutes driving time away. Although the area is hilly, there are good traffic free areas for walking, or you can drive a short way to the beaches and walk in the sand and the surf. If this is your first visit to the Big Island this would be an excellent choice. We will be back!"

"What a fantastic experience staying in this condo was for our family trip to Hawaii. Open and very spacious with two master suites each with full bathrooms for the adults and plenty of room for the kids.. We had two families vacationing together for 8 days here with four adults and five kids. We had plenty of space and the place is simply beautiful. Top notch finishes, huge patio with built in fridge, BBQ & sink, granite slabs and slate tile everywhere! Another bonus was being on the ground level, easy in and out access and no worries about kids being kids for anyone downstairs. Having access to both the resorts and their beaches and amenities was over the top, we would alternate mornings and afternoons between them and head back to condo for lunch in-between. Dinner on the patio every night with amazing sunsets, I just cant say enough, I highly recommend this condo - you will not be disappointed."

"This was our 3rd time to the Big Island, and 2nd time with our family (3 kids under age 10). We brought one set of grandparents too, so there were 7 of us total.
We enjoyed working with the condo owner Bill; he was very helpful, responsive, and accommodating. His onsite manager is a real pleasure to work with.
The condo is very spacious and furnished beautifully. The kitchen was very well equipped and we used the grill on the lanai several times.
Parking was limited and tight but adequate.
The amenity center with a beautiful pool and hot tub, work out room and community room was very close by.
It was quiet, comfortable, and the VIEW! AMAZING!!
The proximity to the Hapuna and Mauna Kea Beaches was exactly what we were after. We paid the extra fee (arranged through the condo owner but paid directly to the hotel) to have access to the hotel pools and towel service. Totally worth it. The Mauna Kea Hotel's poolside and ocean lounge chairs get "saved" early in the day which is frustrating. That didn't seem to be the case at the Hapuna Beach Hotel though. Stop at Costco right after landing and buy yourself a boogie board. You'll get tons of use out of it if you spend any time at these beaches!
The Mauna Kea luau was fun. They don't advertise it much but there is an option to go to just the show and skip dinner. When we compared the dinner + show cost vs. just show, we decided dinner is NOT worth it. The kids were happier eating at the condo and the show was worth every penny.
Both the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Prince Hotels offer a breakfast that is to die for in a setting that is just so beautiful. Casual dining options are expensive and limited near these beaches, which is another reason a condo was a MUST for us this time around with the family along.
We considered the Waikaloa Beach/Kolea Condos, Mauna Lani Condos, Private Homes in North Kohala, and others. I am SO GLAD we stayed at Mauna Kea and in this particular unit. It was AWESOME."
