"Incredible condo complete with Comfortable BEDS and a complete kitchen. WE've been going to Hawaii for many years and stay for a few weeks. This is the best condo we've stayed in and plan to return in the spring. We enjoyed Lava Lava restaurant which had a variety of food and is on the beach and Sansai restaurant for Japanese food.
Mostly, we enjoyed eating our breakfast and lunches at the patio of our condo viewing the beautiful tropical plants."

"This condo was amazing!!! We were expecting that like most places, the pictures would look better than it actually was. But we were pleasantly surprised to find that the place was even better than advertised in the pictures! Staying in a condo was so much more comfortable than a hotel. This condo was extremely spacious. We were only two people but you could easily fit four adults plus two or three children in the unit without feeling crowded. We will never go back to hotels for vacations! The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the little things you might not remember to buy at the grocery store such as spices, oil, sugar, syrup, etc. The appliances and kitchen utensils were of very high quality and made it easy to cook meals. The condo was nicely furnished and well stocked with beach towels, snorkel gear, and other beach toys. Everything was in good working order and the place was extremely clean. I'm a total germ-a-phobe and neat freak and this was one of the few places that met my standards! The condo is in the Mauna Lani complex which has very beautiful grounds and was extremely quiet and relaxing. It was conveniently located close to shopping and many beaches along the Kohala coast. There is a large lanai off the condo with a large gas grill and we enjoyed eating our meals outside. The owners, Karen and Arthur, happened to be staying in one of their other units next door and were very welcoming and friendly. It was very easy to make the reservation and Arthur and his assistant responded to emails very quickly. They also had a very useful notebook in the condo explaining where to find groceries, recommended restaurants, amenities available in the complex, and condo rules. This was an amazing and comfortable place to stay and we would definitely come back in the future!"

"After just getting married in Maui, my wife and I (and our friends) had chosen to stay here on the Big Island. The Mauna Lani area is a gated community that has a luxury and safe feel. However, the home was absolutely amazing. The size, rooms, kitchen, decor, furniture - all top notch. There was nothing wrong I can say about the property. Once we all entered the house, we ran around in amazement of how nice it was. The biggest surprise was how much the home was stocked with items. You had all the kitchenware, condiments, snacks, even some food readily available. If there is something we needed to cook dinners, surprisingly, they had it. This is something you don't find in most rentals.
More importantly the owner (Ticknor) was pleasant to work with. Very understanding, great communication and you had that feeling where you can trust who you're renting from. This made the experience even better.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Big Island."

"This was a great place to stay. i needed a quiet place to recover from chemotherapy, and while I had to fight the automatic A/C controls in the afternoon, while trying to rest, I understand high costs of electricity. I was reminded that they want their Townhome in "Hotel" shape, but I have never had to clean a hotel upon departure in order to get back a deposit, or have never seen as many little notes taped up everywhere (Eg. squeegy showers after use, and hand wash the plastic ware) In the owners defense, their property was lovely."
