  • A perfect getaway location!

"This condo was a perfect home away from home. Far better then staying in any hotel room. I traveled to the Big Island from Oahu where I meet up with my family from the mainland for my cousins wedding. This condo was a great place to host our family get togethers; to relax and to catch up on life aside from our big island outdoor adventures. There's a pool and a beach in walking distance. I would recommend this condo to anyone planing on traveling to the big island with family or for a wedding or just for a little get away. You will be nothing short of impressed!"

  • Another great trip to Mauna Lani!

"For the second time in two years, we have recently returned from a wonderful visit to Colleen’s Mauna Lani Golf Villas home. Over the past 8 years, our family has stayed in 5 different condos all within the Mauna Lani complex. Colleen’s is the best value we have found; on future trips, we will not be staying anywhere else. Her condo is beautifully decorated and well maintained. We particularly appreciate the fully stocked kitchen and great outdoor space and BBQ where we prepare and enjoy as many meals as we can. Whenever we are not outside at the beach or on an excursion around the island, we all lounge comfortably in the living area watching TV or playing the games provided. The beach club is the main reason we keep returning to Mauna Lani. The beach area itself is a very wide and deep stretch of sand that never feels crowded. It is protected from the open ocean by lava rock. As a result, the water is very calm and provides fantastic snorkeling. The restaurant is quite good and where we eat lunch every day while at the beach. Finally, and while probably a very personal interest, our family loves to watch the sunrise over the island. From both the master bedroom and from outside on the patio, it is absolutely spectacular to watch the sun come up alongside Mauna Kea. Colleen is the most responsive owner with whom we have worked. From the initial email request until you are on your way home, she is always available to answer questions and provide additional information about your visit."

  • Beautiful place

"Such nice accommodations. My husband, baby and myself came to Kona for the Honu 70.3. The house was so nicely done with everything we needed. It was across from a nice pool and within a short drive to a pristine beach and shopping. We stayed in another place for the first part of our trip and I wish we'd stayed here the whole time. The owner was so fantastic and flexible. We decided to come early and she was incredibly accommodating. We loved our stay and would def come back."

  • Clean and spacious

"Our family of four stayed here for 2 weeks. The condo was clean and well stocked with extras. The beds were comfortable and we loved the river rock lined shower in the master bath. The loft provided the perfect area for our kids to play without taking up the living space. As is mentioned in previous reviews, there are boogie boards, beach toys, umbrellas, and 2 bikes available in the garage. Two caveats are worth mentioning: the condo is advertised as having free wireless. The reality is that you're actually using nearby wireless services that may or may not work. We contacted the office to get the wireless code and it worked for a day and then stopped. Another small item we found out was that the coffee pot doesn't turn off automatically. Not a big thing, but again, worth mentioning. With that said, this condo is still the best deal in Golf Villas. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The pool, while not huge, has a few lagoon areas which the kids enjoyed. The Mauna Lani Beach club area was spectacular, with soft sand, plenty of walking trails through the fish ponds on the right, and clear water for snorkeling. It was so easy to drive to the beach with sufficient parking that we never bothered walking there (although you could in 10-15 min). In general, the Mauna Lani area does not have the bustle of people, shopping, and restaurants as the Waikoloa Beach Resort area. But if you want peace and quiet, and access to a private beach with a nice restaurant nearby, this condo at Golf Villas is the one to choose."
