  • Lives up to the property description in VRBO!

"My husband and I have visited Hawaii maybe twenty times - I've lost count - and this condo definitely rates at the top. It is very well decorated and furnished. We cooked almost every night and I didn't find anything lacking in the kitchen. I really appreciated the rice cooker. We bought some really nice fish at the nearby Foodland Market to grill. Christine left salt and pepper, oil, and some seasonings in the pantry. That is very nice. You wouldn't believe the number of condos that don't even have salt! The view in the back isn't as bleak as the pictures might depict. There were a variety of birds living there. There were some partridge type birds that make really odd calls and some bright solid yellow finches called saffron finches. We had a full moon setting out there. We mostly relaxed, but spent one night in Hilo to visit the volcanoes. It made a much less hectic trip since it's about two and a half hours to Hilo and we got to the volcanoes before the busses. Don't miss the art gallery at the visitor center. We didn't eat out much, but there are a lot of wonderful restaurant s in the area. We had two wonderful lunches at Merriman s in Waimea. We had a nice lunch at the lodge on Kilauea volcano. Shopping for groceries is much easier in Waimea and The Kings Shopping center. We went to Safeway in Kona, but that was a hassle with traffic and distance. There's a Longs Pharmacy in Waimea. We definitely would rent this house again, and probably will. Christine, the owner, is very nice, and Robin, the property manager is very nice, efficient, and accommodating."

  • Wonderful Unit, Great Location

"My wife and daughter and I stayed here for a week in February 2015 and really enjoyed it. The unit was clean, well-furnished, and in like-new condition. A nice community pool and a fitness center are across the street. We really liked the location: from the deck you can enjoy a great view of the mountains and watch golfers teeing off at the 4th hole, the private beach club is a short drive away (best for snorkeling), Hapuna Beach and other great public beaches are about 10 minutes away (for boogie-boarding), and a nice shopping center (groceries and lots more) is nearby. Boogie boards, beach chairs, and snorkeling equipment were in good shape, and we used them regularly. Don was a very nice host, very easy to communicate with, his daughter provided useful info about car rentals, and his housekeeper graciously welcomed us to the unit and answered all of our questions before she left. We have recommended this unit to a few friends and are looking forward to staying there ourselves again soon."

  • We will be back

"We have been at Mauna Lani several times. It is our ideal vacation with its fantastic beach club beach and beautiful ponds. We decided to try Palm Villas as we wanted to walk to the beach instead of driving from Fairways where we have stayed before. We were very happy with the unit and the management. The only complain I would have were the people in the unit above waking up around 5 am every day so I was awaken many times by them. The good thing was that I am used to be 3 hours ahead ( Vancouver time) so to me it was like waking up at 8 am. We hope to come back soon...."

  • Relaxing stay, under the Milky Way.

"The villa is beautiful, comfortable and absolutely perfect. It was, without a doubt, our favorite place to stay. Everything you could ever need is furnished in this beautiful villa. We had chairs for the beach, towels for the pool, fantastic grill for dinners on the lanai, pool and hot tub steps away. The evenings are quiet and peaceful with fantastic peeks at the Milky Way. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. Heaven! You won't want to leave! The location is perfect for whatever thrill is out there! We went snorkeling, whale watching, zip lining, swam under a waterfall, drove to Hilo on the new highway, making great time, for a helicopter tour of the volcano. In Hilo, be sure to try Lucy's for amazing Mexican food. We went to at least 7 great beaches within 10 miles of the villa. Try the reserved seating at the Marriott luau. Special attention and a great show. Or just spend all day on the upper lania reading a good book under the swaying palms listening to the birds sing. I did and dream of doing it again. Thank you Mike and Cathy, we loved it!"
