"The Fairways condo was a fantastic retreat and so well appointed for our 2 week vacation in paradise. We have used several VRBOs in our travels and have to say this is the best rental of all! The condo is very spacious and has all the amenities that a family or two needs. The kitchen has everything you could imagine and the unit is super organized and you get a real Hawaiian feel with the décor. It was great to have access to beach toys like boogie boards, sun umbrellas (really appreciated for our day at Hapuna Beach), beach chairs, snorkel gear too. The pool is really steps away for easy access but far enough so you aren't disturbed while sitting out on the lanai. The beach we have access to is a short 4-5 minute drive or you have so many other choices in short driving distances too. It is also just a short 7 - 10 minute walk to either the Fairmont Orchid or the Shops of Mauna Lani where the grocery store is. Try out the mochi's at the grocery store - a real tasty ice cream treat. The free hula & fire demonstration at the Shops was very entertaining. The Fairways is a great jumping off location if you are going north on the Kohala Coast toward Waimea or south done to Kailua-Kona. There is lots of info provided by the owners on things to do, restaurants to visit, golf courses to play - which we took advantage of. We stayed with some family and the condo is big enough that you can have some privacy too. We will definitely stay in the condo again which I hope to be real soon! Thanks Carolyn and John for all your help organizing our vacation - it was SPECTACULAR!"

"We had a great stay at the Palm Villa in Hawaii. It was my husband and another couple that stayed in the villa. There was plenty of space and it was beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice. The master bedroom and bathroom are amazing. It was better than a hotel. The walk to the beach was easy. We enjoyed the private pool on the premises and the grill on the lanai. I highly recommend this unit. The logistics were a breeze and Dinah's instructions were simple to follow on how to access the unit, rules, parking, etc. We also enjoyed the complimentary snorkeling equipment! Thanks!"

"We stayed 4 nites in July. The villa is very clean, large, comfortable and well-maintained. The owner Jessi is very responsive to questions and requests. The immediate area, Mauna Lani resort, is very beautiful and peaceful, with easy access to the beach club as well as other, great snorkeling beaches. This area contrasts quite a bit with Waikiki on Oahu, which is very congested and difficult to get around. While Mauna Lani is a long drive from the other attractions on other side of the Big Island, we found the drives to be beautiful and the traffic light. Thanks again Jessi...we'll be back!"

"My husband and I have visited Hawaii maybe twenty times - I've lost count - and this condo definitely rates at the top. It is very well decorated and furnished. We cooked almost every night and I didn't find anything lacking in the kitchen. I really appreciated the rice cooker. We bought some really nice fish at the nearby Foodland Market to grill. Christine left salt and pepper, oil, and some seasonings in the pantry. That is very nice. You wouldn't believe the number of condos that don't even have salt!
The view in the back isn't as bleak as the pictures might depict. There were a variety of birds living there. There were some partridge type birds that make really odd calls and some bright solid yellow finches called saffron finches. We had a full moon setting out there.
We mostly relaxed, but spent one night in Hilo to visit the volcanoes. It made a much less hectic trip since it's about two and a half hours to Hilo and we got to the volcanoes before the busses. Don't miss the art gallery at the visitor center.
We didn't eat out much, but there are a lot of wonderful restaurant s in the area. We had two wonderful lunches at Merriman s in Waimea. We had a nice lunch at the lodge on Kilauea volcano. Shopping for groceries is much easier in Waimea and The Kings Shopping center. We went to Safeway in Kona, but that was a hassle with traffic and distance. There's a Longs Pharmacy in Waimea.
We definitely would rent this house again, and probably will. Christine, the owner, is very nice, and Robin, the property manager is very nice, efficient, and accommodating."
