  • Beautiful condo with great amenities

"The condo was beautiful and all of the extras (stand-up paddle boards, boogie boards, bikes, snorkels) were great for enjoying the beaches on the island. The mauna lani beach is about a 10minutea walk through a lava field trail and really interesting fish ponds. Small but great snorkeling and calm for kids. Interesting hiking trails accessible right from the property. Great place to base yourself if exploring the north of the island. Cindy was great to deal with, always responding promptly to correspondence. Would definitely recommend the condo."

  • great location!

"3 things to consider about this place: 1) Location of Mauna Lani Terraces - GREAT! One of the few lower density places that is oceanfront Hawaii. I want to find a similar place on Oahu (i.e., I like that island the best for stays > 1 week). Also, we mixed up the daily routine between snorkeling on the edge of the reef (swimming from Mauni Lani Hotel to Beach Club), Beach Club, Mauni Lani Hotel beach, Mauni Lani Hotel pool, Fairmont beach, Fairmont pool and a few driving destinations (e.g., Pololu, Waimea, Hapuna) 2) Location of this unit within Mauna Lani Terraces - IDEAL! The patio spills out onto the grass. As such, my kids flowed back and forth between the unit, patio and the grass. The pool is about 50 steps from our patio. Importantly, it's really quiet there (i.e., not obnoxious to our unit) and it's fenced (i.e., don't have to worry about kids wandering in without supervision). The beach (300 feet away?) is directly on the other side of the fishpond (80 feet away). So, you get the ocean breeze and view. Finally, the fishpond is bounded by lava rocks ... keeps toddlers out. 3) The unit - Pretty good. Pros - Has everything you need, good light and air (fans), well maintained and immaculately cleaned. Cons - I'm not a big fan of carpet on principal and especially in a beach location. The fixtures are a little dated but work fine. The master bed was a bit soft for my back. These, however, are minor issues."

  • Best Vacation Ever

"This town home had everything! Fully stocked kitchen, beach toys for the kids, beach chairs for the adults, even a beach umbrella. The best was the two bikes for our own use. We used them to explore all over the resort. We could ride to the nearest beach at the Fairmont Hotal to watch the turtles, to the nearby grocery store, or to the Beach Club. Of all the beaches that we visited, The Beach Club was our favourite. It had easy access, white sand, crystal clear water, loungers for our use, and the best snorkelling on the island. We spent so much time at the Beach Club, we hardly had time to use the recreation centre which was directly across from our unit. We did enjoy the tranquility and quiet of the adult pool as the sun was setting. From watching the sun come up in the morning over Mauna Kea, to looking at Mauna Loa from the upstairs lanai, and the Kohala Mountains to the north, this place was two weeks of pure heaven."

  • Wonderful Unit, Great Location

"My wife and daughter and I stayed here for a week in February 2015 and really enjoyed it. The unit was clean, well-furnished, and in like-new condition. A nice community pool and a fitness center are across the street. We really liked the location: from the deck you can enjoy a great view of the mountains and watch golfers teeing off at the 4th hole, the private beach club is a short drive away (best for snorkeling), Hapuna Beach and other great public beaches are about 10 minutes away (for boogie-boarding), and a nice shopping center (groceries and lots more) is nearby. Boogie boards, beach chairs, and snorkeling equipment were in good shape, and we used them regularly. Don was a very nice host, very easy to communicate with, his daughter provided useful info about car rentals, and his housekeeper graciously welcomed us to the unit and answered all of our questions before she left. We have recommended this unit to a few friends and are looking forward to staying there ourselves again soon."
