  • Great condo / but property management could have been better

"Owner was great to work with. Condo clean and well appointed including some beach necessary items. Management company was difficult to contact and was slow to answer questions or follow up on promised discounts. Parking instructions were not accurate and led to a dispute with another condo resident. When the management company failed to return my calls , I went to the site manager and found out I was given wrong information. I apologized to the other people and gave them a bottle of wine to calm the nerves. Pictures well represented the property. We try to search out local restaurants but do visit the King & Queen shopping areas. Newest property on the "A" Beach is Lava Lava. Great ribs at reasonable price!!! In Kona, Splashers is an old 2nd restaurant that is newly run in the past year. Great food, good prices. The lobster omelet uses real lobster chunks. It's one of two restaurants across from King K Hotel. Great whale watching from most state parks on western coast from Dec thru Feb. Central location gives ready BUT relaxed access to the entire island. Don't over plan the main roads are good but max speed limit 55 and on one part of the ocean road south of Kona is 15 to 25 in some stretches."

  • Incredible Week

"Our family just enjoyed the week of our lives at Colony Villa Waikoloa Beach Resort. The condo was clean, roomy and beautiful. Our views included lots of palm trees, open skies and the golf course. There were so many things to do in the area and our adventures included everything from beach, hikes, grilling, golfing, snorkeling, morning walks, nearby shopping, paddle boarding, cliff diving and more! Everyone at the Resort was so friendly. We really enjoyed our week and look forward to going back for a stay in 2015!"

  • HOME AWAY FROM HOME

"Laurie Jo and Paul were so accommodating. We stayed on the Big Island during the Hurricane Iselle which was downgraded to a tropical storm. We felt safe in the beautiful condo. The people at Castle were helpful and attended to all our needs also. The grounds were breathtaking, it was an added bonus that they had 2 bicycles that we rode all over Waikoloa. The unit is so nice and it was a shame that one bedroom went unused as there was plenty of room. Loved the kitchen and went to "Bite Me" Koloa Kona to get some fresh fish straight off the boat. We were able to prepare delicious meals and enjoy the beauty of the area. Loved it!"

  • Wonderful Place

"My family had a wonderful time. The location is excellent, the condo is great, and the pool area is good for young kids. We had everything that we needed. Also, Helen and her husband, the owners, took great care of us during Hurricaine Iselle. She ensured that we were safe, had all the things that we would need, responded quickly to questions, and allowed us to really enjoy our vacation. We will be back."
