  • Christmas in Paradise!

"Our family of four adults shared 10 days over the Christmas holiday at this wonderful villa. The villa is immaculate and includes everything you need to enjoy your stay. We felt like we were home for the holidays!!!! Christmas lights on the lanai added to the island spirit. Fairway Villa's is a beautiful complex that is thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable. The location is perfect for creating many fabulous memories: POGmosas's on the Lanai, wonderful dinners cooked in the villa and at the many great restraunts, Volcano National Park (hike the Ikii Trail across the crater), Waipi'o Valley (the hike down to the valley and the beach is well worth it), Tex Drive-in for Malasadas (mango filled ) a guided hunt with the Parker Ranch, Mandara Spa at the Marriott, Kona Brewing Company, Lava Lava Beach Club (there is nothing like dining with your feet in the sand), and of course the many beautiful beaches (A-Bay, Beach 69's, Black Sand) and the breathtaking Sunsets. A very special Mahalo for sharing your piece of paradise with our family! We look forward to returning soon."

  • Stargazing in comfort

"We had a lovely stay at your condo! It was nice and roomy, and we really enjoyed stargazing from the lanai and walks to the beach. The Apple TV was a big plus! Thanks again."

  • Beautiful!

"The condo was absolutely beautiful! It was in a perfect location to get to the pool, yet was quiet. The furniture was upscale, but comfortable and suited to both children and adults. Beach chairs, towels and all manner of beach gear is there for your use. This was our third stay at Fairway Villas. It is perfectly located for walking to the nearby Kings Shop and Queen's Marketplace, as well as the "A" beach area. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. We were disappointed that Hapuna Beach now charges $5.00 a day for parking. We instead started going to Kea Bay Beach, the entrance of which is across from the Veteran's Cemetery. The beach opens at 9:00 am and is gorgeous! The waves are a little rough for younger ones and there is no shade. Also, you have to walk over a bit of lava to reach the beach. For shade and young ones, we recommend Spencer Beach. It has more of a park atmosphere, with picnic tables and shady spots. There are so many beautiful things to see on the island. Definitely go to The Hawaiian Botanical Gardens, preferably as early in the morning as possible since it gets hot and humid quickly. While over that way, visit Waiapo Valley and Akaka Falls. There will be a charge at Akaka. Actually, the best advice is to buy the latest addition of Hawaii The Big Island Revealed Guidebook by Andrew Doughty, which tells you everything you would want to know about the island. Our only other disappointment was that there wasn't any spices, cooking oil, etc. left over from other guests. Other condos we have stayed in had things left over in the pantry so that we didn't have to buy as much at the store. That is just a minor issue, though. We would recommend this condo to anyone and would not hesitate to stay there again ourselves!"
