  • Big Island Delight

"We stayed for 10 nights. It was a beautifully furnished luxury condo. Towels, hairdryers, soaps and shampoos were all there for our convenience. The air conditioning was a MUST HAVE. Relaxing in this beautiful resort after exploring the island daily was a treat. We enjoyed the pool, the A Bay View from the pool, the glorious sunsets, the other guests, the LAVA LAVA Beach Club, and the exquisite landscaping of this gorgeous piece of Paradise on the Spectacular Big Island. We hope to return if we can get a great rate."

  • Loved every minute of our time at Kolea

"This was our first trip to Hawaii. We absolutely loved this Kolea villa. The villa was fully equipped and the owner was extremely responsive and friendly. We had a lot of questions on where to go and what to do and Shawn was very helpful. The villa was great and we loved the location. The grass area right outside the lanai was great for our 7 year old he could run right out the lanai and play on the grass. We will definitely be back and recommend this villa to anyone who wants an exceptional villa and dealing with a helpful and informative owner."

  • Best spot in Waikoloa. Location, view, layout, design, comfort, sunset on lanai every night.

"We are a multigenerational family with a toddler and this was the perfect rental. The upper floor has a view of the ocean sunset from the lanai of which we never tired. The lanai is spacious enough for the family to relax or have dinner comfortably and if you open the doors fully the living room becomes a tropical lanai of its own. The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable, the kitchen fantastic and well equipped and the layout great with beautiful and spacious baths. Local support was immediate when we called with a question. Even at this high season, the property, beach and pool were never crowded and we always got chairs. Additionally the condo has very nice folding chairs and an umbrella along with several beach towels. The pool and a very nice beach are an easy walk and it's a short drive to Hapuna or other beaches. The shops were a short drive or pleasant walk. Lava Lava club is a beautiful bar/restaurant right there on the beach and there is a Marriott nearby, convenient for dining when the other restaurants close early but far enough away and well hidden so you can't really tell it's there from the property. We had a car but with the hotel nearby you could probably book a tour from that location. We went to Volcano, Mauna Kea Observatory, (SUPER recommended if you like stars), Akaka Falls as easy day trips while others stayed at the beach. Beach is great for toddlers or older swimmers with easy rentals of stand up paddle, kayak or snorkeling equipment. Nice snorkeling with fish and turtles. Highly recommended, best spot of the entire Waikoloa resort, (and we walked it and saw lots of properties!)"

  • Absolutely 100% perfect, too perfect...

"This was our first stay at Kolea and we have stayed in many condos along the Kohala Coast and this one was the nicest we have ever stayed at. The pictures do not do the villa justice. A few things that a renter may want to know, the pictures do not do the view justice. At Kolea there are many units that face other units in the complex and have no view to speak of, this unit is on the second floor and faces the beach and hotel pool next door. The view is quite amazing and even though there is a photo in this listing it really is much better in person. The covered parking is close by and if you have visitors there is ample additional parking. The complex is very well run and picture perfect. The beach club was nice and not crowded, we were able to get a cabana or sit next to the pool each time we went. Access to the beach is great as well, there is also a gate that is a very short walk to the hotel property next door that is great if you want to get a meal or pay to use their pool. We did use the resort pool next door once, they give you a room for the day and it cost $99.00 for the entire family. This unit is very well equipped, clean and decorated nicely. The bedding is top of the line and the beds themselves are very comfortable. The air conditioning works ice cold, although we had it turned off often and just opened the pocket doors and enjoyed the cool weather. There are ample towels, beach supplies and kitchen items. The management company is great and responds to any issues in a timely manner. We loved this unit so much that we extended our stay two days. Our only disappointment is that the unit was booked in March for spring break and we will have to stay somewhere else. Thank you again for a great time and great unit."
