  • our annual family visit to the Kona Coast

"This was our first stay at the Gaddie's beautiful home, and we would stay there again. Almost every year, we visit visit family who live south of Kilo, and each time, we spend 3-4 days on the Kona side of the island, usually in the Waikoloa area. This year, there were seven of us. The spacious, well-equipped unit met all of our needs, and its location can't be beat -- shopping and beaches within walking distance and our favorite beaches just a short drive in the car."

  • Excellent Choice

"My wife and I stayed for three weeks in Jan-Feb and found the condo to be just what we were looking for - despite its proximity to the pool it was very quiet during our time there and all the components, kitchen equipment, air-con, laundry etc. were in good nick. Only had to make one call to Heidi in our three weeks re. the wi-fi and this was instantly resolved and I am certainly considering booking again for next year. Played both the golf courses at discounted rates (slightly more than advertised) and would recommend along with Hapuna and Mauna Kea if you can secure a good green fee rate. Favourite beach spot was up at Puako and we went on some great snorkel and whale watching trips from down the coast."

  • Loved every minute of our time at Kolea

"This was our first trip to Hawaii. We absolutely loved this Kolea villa. The villa was fully equipped and the owner was extremely responsive and friendly. We had a lot of questions on where to go and what to do and Shawn was very helpful. The villa was great and we loved the location. The grass area right outside the lanai was great for our 7 year old he could run right out the lanai and play on the grass. We will definitely be back and recommend this villa to anyone who wants an exceptional villa and dealing with a helpful and informative owner."

  • You won't be disappointed!

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in Hali'i Kai 10E for 4 nights early December 2014. We chose this unit based on the fun colorful vibe from the pics on VRBO and the exposure/location within the Hali'i Kai property itself. We stayed oceanfront last visit and found that exposure to be extremely dark at night. Building 10 provides some light to the south with the Hilton across the way. We also loved having the golf course view as well as the ocean! We had morning sun for coffee on the patio and the deck furniture was upscale like we appreciate. We had the front master and it was great, bed was perfect. We traveled with another couple so it was nice to have the second king bed as we are all taller people-- also why I chose 10E!! Our friend odd say the back bed was too soft and uncomfortable but that was the only downside to the furnishings. People travel light these days with liquids so having some shampoo for guests would have been nice. The washer gave us a little trouble as well but ended up getting the job done- we followed the directions to the tea!! Other than those three things everything else was FLAWLESS! From having a keyless entry to a beautiful fruit basket upon arrival to a well stocked pantry and a clean unit. I would recommend this unit and this property and would stay again hoping not to have to stay on the less comfortable bed of course;-)"
