  • Great condo, perfect location

"My family and I stayed for 11 days and this condo was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and having a bbq on the lanai was awesome! We ate almost every meal at the condo, saved money and the food was delicious. The location of this condo couldn't be better. Literally, right across the street are both the Queen and King shops. Beautiful easy walk to either place. My husband and I enjoyed our morning strolls to the coffee shop. This was my first time renting with VRBO and I was a bit nervous but Tammy put my mind at ease, explained the process and was very effecient with our booking. We had no issues and everything was as decrisbed in her listing. The location to A Bay from this condo was about a 3 minute drive or less than a 10 minute walk. I recommend driving if you are taking beach gear with you, there is a nice parking lot and we never had problems finiding a spot to park. We loved A Bay, but there are many nice beaches within a 10 -15 min drive so you must explore! The Waikoloa Beach Resort, in my opinion, is the best place to stay on the big island. We spent some time in Kona but Waikoloa Beach Resort was beautifully landscaped, quiet, wonderful people, and great beaches makes it worth being further from Kona. There are many nice condos in this resort and previously we stayed at the Hali Kai which is very nice as well. We preferred this condo because it was just as nice as the Hali Kai but it had a bbq on the lanai, this complex had 2 pool areas so all condos are within easy walking distance to the pools, the Waikoloa Beach Villa's are the first complex on the right so very convenient location. You can walk across the street to the Queen market and catch the trolley ($2 per person one way) and ride over to the Hilton. The Hilton is a fun place to explore. We enjoyed our time on the big island and will definately stay at Tammy's condo when we return for our next trip. Mahalo"

  • Great condo for young families

"We had a wonderful time staying at this condo. Location is good, it's fully stocked with beach accessories and everything you need in the kitchen. The pLaystation and games and lego for the kids were a huge bonus. I found the owners to be very prompt and courteous when it came to responding to any communication. Some of the units in the same building are lived in by owners and they were all really friendly and helpful. We loved the Big Island and wouldn't hesitate to go back. You can't go wrong with this vrbo listing."

  • Condo has all the extra touches!

"We have stayed in several different condos in the Hali'i Kai complex. We enjoy our stay every time. It's is lovely, quiet, has the best pool side setting anywhere, and a great set up for our family. I have to say that our stay in Dave & Karen's condo was the best! They have seen to every touch to ensure that you are coming "home" when vacationing in their condo. From the kitchen components, extra bedding, bathroom items, to every imaginable beach comfort -- chairs, toys, boogie boards, umbrella, cooler, and adventure guides! Loved every minute, and looking forward to next time. Mahalo"

  • Best spot in Waikoloa. Location, view, layout, design, comfort, sunset on lanai every night.

"We are a multigenerational family with a toddler and this was the perfect rental. The upper floor has a view of the ocean sunset from the lanai of which we never tired. The lanai is spacious enough for the family to relax or have dinner comfortably and if you open the doors fully the living room becomes a tropical lanai of its own. The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable, the kitchen fantastic and well equipped and the layout great with beautiful and spacious baths. Local support was immediate when we called with a question. Even at this high season, the property, beach and pool were never crowded and we always got chairs. Additionally the condo has very nice folding chairs and an umbrella along with several beach towels. The pool and a very nice beach are an easy walk and it's a short drive to Hapuna or other beaches. The shops were a short drive or pleasant walk. Lava Lava club is a beautiful bar/restaurant right there on the beach and there is a Marriott nearby, convenient for dining when the other restaurants close early but far enough away and well hidden so you can't really tell it's there from the property. We had a car but with the hotel nearby you could probably book a tour from that location. We went to Volcano, Mauna Kea Observatory, (SUPER recommended if you like stars), Akaka Falls as easy day trips while others stayed at the beach. Beach is great for toddlers or older swimmers with easy rentals of stand up paddle, kayak or snorkeling equipment. Nice snorkeling with fish and turtles. Highly recommended, best spot of the entire Waikoloa resort, (and we walked it and saw lots of properties!)"
