"This place was really great!! Very nicely decorated! LOVE the location! LOVE the condo pool and A-Bay! You can even go to the Marriott pool with no hassles from the hotel. You can also walk over to the Hilton pools/lagoon too, which is perfect for kids!! You can also walk to the mall - King's/Queen's shops. This place is really nice and the layout is perfect! The owner is on it too! There was a minor problem with the fridge light and he had his maintenance girl over right away. He was super accomodating! My only complaint was the closet by the parking space needed some work. There were some broken masks, inner tubes, etc. but we didn't use any of that stuff anyway. I definitely would stay here again and it was perfect for my 2 kids too (9 months and 2 years)."Guest: anabanana Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: December 15, 2014View listing
"AJ's luxury condo exceeded all of our expectations. The unit is so nice and perfectly equipped with everything you might need for relaxing in Hawaii. AJ supplied a wealth of very practical and helpful information about the unit, the resort, restaurants, shopping and attractions. We were there during Hurricane ANA and AJ called several times to make sure we were fine and had what we needed. You could not ask for better customer service or a more conscientious host. We have recommended this property without reservation to our family and our friends as a perfect Big Island location, and our time there was truly the highlight of our trip."Guest: Pat P Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: November 19, 2014View listing
"We were lucky enough to spend 3 wks. here on a family trip with 4 generations split between 3 units. Colony Villas is a lovely complex with beautiful pools, lush landscaping, and nice BBQ's. And the other units our family members rented were nice as well. But I do believe ours was the best. That feeling started when I made my initial email request & Mary called me almost immediately, rather than just emailing. She & Chuck were so friendly, helpful & great to deal with throughout the whole process. They spend a lot of time at their condo and it shows in all the nice little touches. This is not a 'generic' rental with just the basics!!! Certainly different things matter to different people & the pictures on the listing show you the unit well, but here are some of the things we really appreciated: comfortable beds & pillows, flat screen TV's in living room & master, TV's in the other 2 bedrooms, wonderfully stocked kitchen (sharp knifes too), wi-fi that was fast (even with several devices all using at once), ALL the beach toys (chairs, boogie boards, cooler, ice packs, beach bags), lots & lots of beach towels, full-size stacked washer & dryer, open downstairs floor plan with comfortable furniture (room for all 6 of us without feeling cramped), great location within complex looking out onto 10th fairway of Beach Golf Course. If you are a golfer, the Lepley's have the Gold Membership that transfers to their guests - so we played the King's Course for $50 and the Beach Course for $75. Discount applies to club rentals as well, as some in our party did not bring their clubs & rented beautiful Nike sets (men's & ladies) for $25. This is a huge benefit & savings over paying regular rates at both courses. If I had to list a negative, I'd say for us its the fact that this complex does not have ocean views - BUT, especially at night with the sliding doors & windows open & fans going, you 'feel' like you are close to the ocean with all the palm trees & landscaping plants swaying in the delightful breeze. We've visited the Big Island many times, and stayed in many other complexes in Waikoloa Beach & Kona area. We've had great ocean views, but we've never had a more comfortable, delightful place to stay. My dining tip - The Beach Tree at the Four Seasons Hualalai for great food, gorgeous sunsets & live music - NOT as expensive as you might think. For Shaved Ice - Anuenue, up by Kawaihae Harbor - whatever flavor you pick, get it with a snow cap...YUM."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: May 4, 2014View listing
"Loved this condo, with all it's amenities-especially the spices and the beach equipment! The outdoor BBQ was so nice, as well as the furnishings in the condo-very modern but comfortable. Best bed I have ever slept in! The Waikoloa resort is rather expensive, so we were happy to have a condo to cook in, and a place to make our lunches for the day's outings. We would love to come back to A3 Beach Villas!"Guest: Marianne H. Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: November 24, 2014View listing
