"Just returned from eleven glorious nights in this property. This villa is, as native Hawaiians might say, "Kupaianaha!" This means extraordinary, remarkable or wonderful. It's all this and more!!! This is truly a luxury property—spacious, finely appointed and absolutely awesome in every way. Everything is top of the line and it was spotless on arrival.
The owner is a dream to work with and stays on top of things. In fact, the second evening, discovered the propane tanks for the fab built-in Viking grill on the lanai were empty. I emailed the owner and within minutes, someone arrived with a fresh tank. Wow! We grilled out at least half the nights, and there's a fridge out there too. Cold beverages always within easy reach. Beds were very comfortable. There are more than enough beach towels, bath towels, etc, and with 4 ladies in our group of six, that was important. His storage space is filled with beach stuff, incl boogie boards, beach chairs, etc.
I could go on and on about our experience here: the location, the Kolea community, and the value. You just have to experience it for yourself."

"A wonderful location and convenient to so much in the Waikoloa resort area as well as just about anything you could dream of doing on this beautiful island. The clubhouse and pool are lovely and the staff is very friendly. They offer some reasonably priced food (for Hawaii) and so, late in the afternoon, a lot of families understandably came to the pool to eat. A little hectic and noisy at those times, but a nice facility overall. The condo itself is very pretty and the end unit offers some lovely views even if it is not ocean front. Air conditioning, water pressure, etc., were all fine and there were some nice appliances there. My husband and I enjoyed the lanai and the grill. Like other reviewers, we felt that the lanai furniture is in need of replacing. It consists of a small table, which was wobbling, and two chairs...sort of tough if there are more than two of you and even tough to put everything we needed on the table for just the both of us. Something a little more substantial would definitely add a great deal to the unit, as people come to Hawaii to spend the majority of their time enjoying the outdoors. Also, we noted that the beach chairs that were available seemed to be on their last legs and were starting to fray. We have stayed in this area before in other units and the condo certainly lived up to our expectations. One note for people who want to make more than a sandwich there....there are no spices whatsoever...I am not sure if this is a rule there, that they can't be left, but bring your own from home if you can...everything is so expensive to purchase. Overall, a beautiful island and a great time. As far as working with the owner, she was always responsive and everything was as she represented when we checked in. Another bonus which we learned about when we got there was a maid service....there is cleaning every few days and the condo is vacuumed, and sheets and towels are replaced....I washed them anyway as I was doing wash, but it was nice to have the place "spiffed up" every few days."

Great location, beautiful home, terrific owners...
"This was our second trip to Hawaii and first to the Big Island. Nick and Anna have perfected their process and we were taken care of in every detail. From reservation to checkout everything was excellent. There was more than enough kitchenware, towels, blankets, pillows, soap, coolers, chairs etc. We did end up buying and leaving another umbrella so help yourself! We spent most mornings walking to the Hilton to get our latte' at their coffee shop (open to the public) and then sat and enjoyed watching the dolphins swim, as well as sharks and sea turtles in their bay. (also open to the public you just cannot swim unless you are a guest) We had every comfort of home in this unit and then some, as well as, being positioned nicely on the island to drive to Kona or Hilo. We actually drove the entire island during our two week stay and enjoyed fireworks right off the balcony on the 4th! (best seats around) There were trails in every direction from the the unit taking us to the beach, petroglyphs or shopping and tons of places to eat if you wanted. We did prefer to eat in Kona where the prices were not as high as the resort area and highly suggest the Kona Brewing Company in Kona, which was our favorite place to eat. The Costco is also a short drive and the well stocked kitchen made it a breeze to prepare meals. We loved this unit and will certainly visit again on our next trip to the Big Island. Thanks Nick and Anna!!"
