  • Villa in Paradise!

"We could not have asked for a better location for our first trip to the Big Island. The villa had everything we needed. We made great use of the BBQ and large lanai. Walking distance to A-Bay where we saw the most beautiful sunset (with a special guest appearance by a whale!!). Gorgeous!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa and would love to stay there again!"

  • Beautiful!

"The condo was absolutely beautiful! It was in a perfect location to get to the pool, yet was quiet. The furniture was upscale, but comfortable and suited to both children and adults. Beach chairs, towels and all manner of beach gear is there for your use. This was our third stay at Fairway Villas. It is perfectly located for walking to the nearby Kings Shop and Queen's Marketplace, as well as the "A" beach area. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. We were disappointed that Hapuna Beach now charges $5.00 a day for parking. We instead started going to Kea Bay Beach, the entrance of which is across from the Veteran's Cemetery. The beach opens at 9:00 am and is gorgeous! The waves are a little rough for younger ones and there is no shade. Also, you have to walk over a bit of lava to reach the beach. For shade and young ones, we recommend Spencer Beach. It has more of a park atmosphere, with picnic tables and shady spots. There are so many beautiful things to see on the island. Definitely go to The Hawaiian Botanical Gardens, preferably as early in the morning as possible since it gets hot and humid quickly. While over that way, visit Waiapo Valley and Akaka Falls. There will be a charge at Akaka. Actually, the best advice is to buy the latest addition of Hawaii The Big Island Revealed Guidebook by Andrew Doughty, which tells you everything you would want to know about the island. Our only other disappointment was that there wasn't any spices, cooking oil, etc. left over from other guests. Other condos we have stayed in had things left over in the pantry so that we didn't have to buy as much at the store. That is just a minor issue, though. We would recommend this condo to anyone and would not hesitate to stay there again ourselves!"

  • Comfortable accommodations

"We enjoyed our stay at this condo. John was a pleasure to work with and answered all our questions promptly. The condo was a large enough space for our family of four, and we really appreciated the two large bedrooms and bathrooms. The Ocean Club is about a five minute walk, and it is a wonderful place to spend the day, although shade is at somewhat of a premium. The condo lacks a little privacy, as it looks directly at another building, so you can see other tenants sitting out on their balconies. It would have been nice if there were a grill on the balcony, as well as a few more pots and pans in the kitchen. And the pillows could stand to be replaced, as they were flat, although the beds were definitely comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

  • WJWR

"We stayed at this beautiful town home for ten days and LOVED every minute. It was absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The on-line description accurately reflects the property as do the photos. However, we found it to be much more stunning upon arrival. The house was immaculate as were the grounds. It was like home away from home, but only better! There were six of us that stayed in the house, youngest being 16 and oldest being being 60ish. The home appeals to all ages: there is a baby closet that contains all of the essentials, a well organized and overflowing game/book closet, a Play Station with games, a printer (if you must work while vacationing), flat screen TV's in almost every room, the pool table that especially appealed to our young adults, and of course, the garage was also well stocked with ice chests, beach chairs, boogie boards, footballs, etc. The pool and spa are conveniently located right outside and lanai. We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen and loved barbecuing in the lanai. The property is conveniently located right across from Starbucks in the Queens shopping center and adjacent to the Kings shopping center. We were able to easily enjoy traveling by foot and car to the beautiful beaches, golfing, coffee farms, macadamia nut farms, snorkeling and water excursions, Volcano National Park, etc., etc. We would especially recommend Captain Zodiac's 5 hour mid day snorkel/adventure and Splashers moonlight manta ray snorkel. We have already recommended this property to friends who are traveling to the Big Island in the winter, and we are planning another trip next summer! We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Thank you, Sherry and Lars, for being so helpful and patient and answering all of our questions so promptly!"
